The fruit of our hard labor, the product of our blood, sweat, tears, and efforts, and the reason why we spent months burning midnight candles - at last, our thesis is hardbound, signed, and approved!

All glory to God! Thank you for your sustaining grace. we definitely can't do it without your unwavering grace, Lord.

Also, to the individuals who have been part of our thesis journey, my deepest gratitude to all of you.

To our dearest nanay and thesis adviser, Ma'am Lynna, thank you very much for not giving up on us until we have our hardbound. Thank you for the knowledge, tips, and guidance you have us throughout our thesis journey. All those will be deeply engraved in our minds and will serve as valuable lessons for the future. Thank you for trusting us and believing in our capability, especially for pushing us to move forward and to stay positive when things got tough.

More importantly, to all the SK councils and SK officials in Igbaras, thank you for accepting our invitation to be our respondents, both during the pilot testing and the actual conduct of our questionnaire. My never ending thanks to each and every one of you.

To my thesis mate, Jessa and Jason, thank you for all the efforts you exerted and for putting up with my perfectionist and competitive side.

We made it, guys! Ga graduate na tayo!

It’s true what they say—college really does end on a random afternoon. One moment you’re buried in deadlines and exams, and the next, you’re walking out of your last class, realizing it’s all over. We just finished our final exam as college students, and I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with emotion.

It didn’t end with a grand event or a dramatic goodbye—just a quiet moment that carried the weight of years' worth of memories, struggles, growth, and friendships. I’m crying not just because it’s ending, but because of everything this journey has meant to me. Every sleepless night, every small win, every person who became part of my story—it all led to this. And now, it’s time to turn the page.

Thank you, Ma'am Lot!
Thank you, Bachelor in Human Services!

My very last outreach program as a Human Services Society officer—what a bittersweet moment. This final stretch of our outreach in Brgy. Buntatala, Jaro, was more than just another activity; it felt like the closing chapter of a journey that has shaped so much of who I am. As we wrapped up the program, I couldn’t help but look back on all the times we planned, served, and connected with different communities.

This last one felt different. There was a quiet sense of pride, but also a little ache in knowing it was my final time wearing this role. Being part of something bigger than myself, serving alongside passionate and selfless people—it has taught me lessons no classroom ever could. I’m incredibly thankful for every moment, every person, and every heart I encountered along the way. This may be the end of my time as an officer, but the love for service will always stay with me.

This day was such a whirlwind of emotions. Taking our final class picture hit me harder than I expected—it brought back so many memories of how far we’ve come. It’s crazy to think that we’re almost at the finish line—gamay na lang, ga-graduate na gid kami. There was something so special, even a little emotional, about standing there with the people I’ve shared so much with—laughter, stress, breakdowns, and breakthroughs. It just feels so dear knowing that we made it this far together. And while it’s a little bittersweet, I’m mostly just grateful—for the journey, the friendships, and the growth.

Presenting and sharing our thesis paper in public is such a privilege. With just 3 days of preparation for the CAS Research Colloquium, I can say I survived! I didn't expect that I could do it, but yes, I did! And to our ever-supportive nanay and thesis adviser Ma'am Lynna, thank you very much for making our preparation for this colloquium bearable and memorable.

After the intense focus and demands of academics, particularly my thesis, I find myself happily tired yet deeply fulfilled as I return to community outreach programs. Being back in the community reminds me why I chose this path—to serve, to connect, and to make a difference. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to engage in this work again, especially alongside my Human Services Society family, the Social Science Department, and the University Guidance Center. These moments of service not only recharge my spirit but also deepen my understanding of the impact we can have when we come together with purpose and compassion.

After countless sleepless nights filled with doubts, endless overthinking, and numerous revisions, I, along with my thesis mates, Jessa and Jason, finally defended our thesis study. The journey was challenging and often overwhelming, but it taught me so much about perseverance, teamwork, and faith. I am deeply grateful for this milestone, and truly, to God be all the glory.

Having the opportunity to facilitate psychological testing—even in an online format—within a college setting was a meaningful and memorable experience. It was more than just a task; it was a glimpse into the real responsibilities that come with our profession. I felt truly honored to be entrusted with something so important.

The guidance counselors at the university's guidance center were incredibly supportive and generous with their knowledge. Their patience and willingness to guide us through the process made all the difference. I appreciated how they treated us not just as students, but as future professionals. Working with them felt natural and encouraging, and it deepened my understanding of the ethical and practical aspects of psychological testing.

This experience reminded me that learning doesn’t stop in the classroom. Sometimes, the most valuable lessons come from the moments when you’re trusted enough to apply what you've learned—and when you’re guided by people who genuinely want to see you grow.

After all the hectic days brought by my internship, I finally found a moment to pause and attend my very last CAS Days as a college student. Being back on campus, surrounded by familiar faces, made me realize how much I had missed these moments. It felt heartwarming to reconnect with our beloved juniors—to share stories, laughter, and memories one last time before closing this meaningful chapter of my college journey.

In the middle of my internship at Iloilo Nasyo, I attended my very last oath-taking as a student leader under the Human Services Society. It was a moment filled with mixed emotions. It felt like a flashback to my very first oath-taking, and yet there I was, taking my final one. Seeing the new faces of these young student leaders made me genuinely happy, because I knew the organization that had felt like home throughout my college years was now stepping into a brighter future with them at the helm.

My third internship site was Taytay sa Kauswagan, Inc. - Admin Department. It immersed me in an administrative setting—an environment that presented a unique shift from my previous experiences. Unlike the more client-facing roles I had encountered before, this placement offered a closer look into the organizational backbone that supports daily operations and long-term goals. From the beginning, I was made to feel part of the team. The administrative staff, each skilled in their respective roles, demonstrated a level of professionalism and dedication that I found both admirable and inspiring.

What left a lasting impression on me was the realization that even the most routine administrative tasks play a vital role in an organization's success. I was involved in tasks such as document preparation, data entry, assisting with logistics, and coordinating internal communications. These responsibilities helped me appreciate the value of precision, consistency, and coordination in maintaining order and achieving efficiency.

This internship opened my eyes to the critical role administration plays in the bigger picture. It reaffirmed my interest in working behind the scenes—ensuring that systems run effectively and that people have the support they need to do their jobs well. I found fulfillment in being part of that process, knowing that my work—though not always visible—contributed to something larger.

Beyond the technical skills I acquired, what I truly gained was a renewed sense of discipline, responsibility, and appreciation for structured leadership. The experience reminded me that impactful work doesn't always happen in the spotlight. Often, it’s the quiet, steady efforts in the background that enable everything else to move forward. This internship deepened my commitment to serve in roles where planning, structure, and purpose come together to make a meaningful difference.

My second internship site was Taytay sa Kauswagan, Inc. – CED Department, and it was a distinctly different experience from my first. This placement leaned more into the Industrial–Community field, offering me a new perspective on the kind of work I could be doing in the future. From the very beginning, I felt a sense of belonging. The staff—Ma'am Ren, Ma'am Jo, Ma'am Vin, Ma'am Grace, and Ma'am Zen—were not only kind and welcoming, but they also became mentors who inspired me through their dedication and passion for community work.

What stood out most to me was the genuine connection they had with the communities they served. I had the opportunity to travel with them, engage directly with people from different walks of life, and learn what it truly means to serve. Every experience—whether it was organizing programs, taking the lead on certain tasks, or writing reports—was a learning opportunity that deepened my understanding of community development and the responsibilities it entails.

This internship helped me realize how much I am drawn to this kind of work. Each day reminded me why I chose this path in the first place. It opened my eyes to the realities faced by many people—their struggles, their hopes, and the impact even the smallest efforts can make. It was humbling, and at the same time, empowering.

What I gained from my time at CED wasn’t just technical skill or field exposure—it was a deeper sense of purpose. It affirmed my desire to work within communities, to listen, to help, and to lead with compassion. More than anything, this experience reminded me that real change starts with meaningful connection, and I’m grateful to have witnessed that firsthand.
