Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of National Health Insurance Month and 31st Anniversary of Philhealth with the theme: “PhilHealth @ 31: Ka-YAKAP ang Pilipino sa Kalusugang Segurado.”

As part of the celebration, we conducted:
🎥 Video Greetings to express our solidarity and support for PhilHealth’s continuing mission to expand and strengthen healthcare services for every Filipino.
🏥 An OPD Lecture led by Sir Arreon James Manzano, ICARES Representative of our institution, about the YAKAP Package/Coverage, to further educate our patients and staff on the benefits and services they can avail under PhilHealth.

We sincerely thank everyone who participated and supported our activities. Let us continue to work together in promoting secured and accessible healthcare for every Filipino. 💙💛💚

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month with the theme: "Demonstrating Impact: From Challenge to Change" and National Intellectual Disability Week (February 14-20, 2026) with the them: "Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig Tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon"

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit successfully conducted the Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability Awareness Talk last February 20, 2026 held via Zoom and Facebook Live.

This activity highlighted the importance of understanding, acceptance, and genuine inclusion for individuals with Down Syndrome and intellectual disabilities.

Our sincere appreciation to our distinguished resource speaker, Dr. Kristian Knowell J. Cadiente, RN, MD, Medical Officer IV (Junior Consultant), Department of Pediatrics, Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC), for sharing his expertise and valuable insights. Ilocos Sur District Hospital – Tagudin Public Health Unit successfully conducted this two celebration last February 19, 2026 with a meaning lecture held via Zoom and Facebook Live. With the theme “United by Unique,” the activity served as a meaningful reminder that every cancer journey is different, yet we stand together in awareness, prevention, and hope.

Our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed resource speaker, Dr. Marie Angeline Ganiban-Casiño, Medical Officer IV – Department of Internal Medicine, Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC), for generously sharing her expertise and valuable insights on cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection. Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of Philippine Heart Month

In observance of Valentine’s Day, our hospital joyfully celebrated with fun-filled and heartwarming activities last February 13, 2026!
With the Memorandum No.57 series of 2026 from the Office of the Governor, employees actively participated and expressed their “heart status” by wearing their color of attire according to their mood for the day, adding excitement and color around the workplace. 💙💛💚❤️
💞 Find Your Perfect Match – Staff enjoyed pairing up broken heart pieces to find their match, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone, a cash price was given to the lucky pair
🌹 A sweet gesture of appreciation was shared as Vice Governor Ryan V. Singson staff gave roses to all female employees.
🎁 A simple Valentine’s token was also distributed to all employees on duty through the generosity of Ms. Michelle Dauz, our Administrative Officer, spreading extra love and gratitude.
💌 A Dedication Wall was set up in front of the hospital where heartfelt messages were posted in celebration of Philippine Heart Month and Valentine's Day
Indeed, the celebration reminded us that caring for the heart goes beyond physical health—it’s about kindness, appreciation, and connection.

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of National Awareness Week for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (February 8-14, 2026) with the theme: "AKO, IKAW, TAYO - Nagkakaisa Laban sa Child Sexual Abuse."

Last February 9, 2026, a short awareness talk was conducted by Dr. Marianne L. Dauz, MO III / PHU Head following the Flag Raising Ceremony to strengthen understanding on the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation. The activity aimed to remind everyone of our shared responsibility in safeguarding children and promoting a safe, supportive, and child-friendly environment.

Sexual Abuse and exploitation are serious violations of human dignity and basic human rights. They can affect anyone - especially children, women, and other vulnerable groups - regardless of age, gender, or social status. Several Philippine laws protect individuals from these acts:
* Republic Act 7610 - Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, which protects children from sexual abuse, neglect, and exploitation
* Republic Act 8353 - The Anti-Rape Law of 1997
* Republic Act 11648 - which raises the age of sexual consent to 16 years, strengthening protection for minors
* Republic Act 9208, as amended by RA 10364 - Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, which addresses sexual exploitation, prostitution, and trafficking
* Republic Act 9995 - Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, which penalizes the taking or sharing of intimate images without consent

Everyone has a role to play. When we know the law, speak up against abuse, and support victims, we help build a safer and more respectful society. Let us stand together to protect dignity, uphold the law, and prevent sexual abuse and exploitation.

If you see something, say something. Speak up. Act. Protect.
