🌿 **Healthy Coping Skills Matter** 🌿

Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, but building healthy coping skills can help us manage stress and challenges in a positive way. Here are a few helpful strategies you can try:

🧘‍♀️ Emotion-Focused Coping
• Meditation
• Journaling
• Talk Therapy

✅ Problem-Focused Coping
• Tackle your to-do list
• Ask for support
• Establish healthy boundaries

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Small steps each day can make a big difference. 💙

We’re incredibly proud of our Former Chief Resident, Dr. Mariani Angel Peralta, for being a Finalist in the Research Poster Presentation at the 52nd Philippine Psychiatric Association Annual Convention held on January 20–23, 2026 in Metro Manila.

Her study, “Prevalence of Depression Among Teenage Pregnant Women at the West Visayas State University Medical Center Obstetrics Outpatient Department,” sheds light on the emotional challenges faced by young pregnant women and highlights why mental health care is just as important as physical care.

Thank you for representing our institution with excellence and for using research to advocate for better mental health care. 👏💙
