KOICA - Iloilo GIDA Health Project Colmenares District Hospital (Balasan) and Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital (Calinog.)

The Iloilo Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Area (GIDA) Health System Strengthening Project is a US$7,000,000.00 grant from the Korea International Cooperation (KOICA) primarily geared to improve the Maternal and Child Health services of the three (3) District Hospitals and nine (9) Rural Health Units in the Province of Iloilo. The Project includes the construction of Comprehensive Emergency Obstetrics and Newborn Care (CEmONC) facilities and provision of capacity building trainings for the personnel of Aleosan District Hospital (Alimodian), Jesus M. Moreover the Rural Health Units (RHU) of 9 municipalities, namely: San Miguel, Alimodian, Leon, Calinog, Bingawan, Batad, Balasan, Estancia and Carles will be provided with equipment and manpower capacity building trainings to improve their competence as providers of Basic Emergency Obstetrics and Newborn Care (BEmONC.)
