In a dedicated effort to ensure public safety during the peak of the 2026 Dinagyang festivities, the Emergency Responders of Iloilo (EROI), in collaboration with the Iloilo Province Clinic, have established a strategic medical post at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol. Under the leadership of Dr. Don Garcia, the team is providing round-the-clock medical oversight for the inaugural night of the Kasadyahan and Dinagyang food festival. Their presence is vital not only for the thousands of customers and food enthusiasts flocking to the Capitol grounds but also as a primary safety net for the Maintenance Division personnel tasked with the heavy lifting of installing festival infrastructure.

Pagnahi-an Festival (Bingawan)
Tultugan Festival (Maasin)
Kasag Festival (Banate)

To ensure the safety of both the thousands of spectators and the performers, the Emergency Responders of Iloilo (EROI), Iloilo Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), along with the Provincial Clinic and various emergency responders, rendered continuous medical services throughout the festivities. The Iloilo Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) hosted the Provincial DRRM and Climate Change Adaptation Skills Convergence on December 9, 2025, at Lake Alapasco, Batad, Iloilo.

This convergence was the culminating event for the National Disaster Resilience Month activities and saw the active participation of emergency responders and officials from numerous Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs) across the province.

A core component of the event was the emphasis on "green governance" and environmental restoration.

The environmental focus was materialized through a synchronized Tree Parenting Activity, which is part of the Governor's flagship Tanom Iloilo program. This activity involved all 43 LGUs and highlighted the crucial role of reforestation and sustainable forest management as a long-term strategy for mitigating the impacts of climate change, particularly flooding and extreme weather events.
