⚠️ Sintomas ng Rabies sa Tao: Huwag Balewalain! 🛑

🚨 Kung nakagat ng hayop, bantayan ang mga senyales:
🔥 Lagnat, sakit ng ulo, at panghihina 🤒
🩸 Pananakit, pamamaga, o pamamanhid sa sugat 🩹
💧 Takot sa tubig at hangin (hydrophobia, aerophobia) 🚱💨
😨 Pagkairita, pagkalito, o matinding takot
💪 Pananakit ng kalamnan, pangingisay, at pagkaparalisa

⚠ Kapag nakagat o nakalmot ng hayop, pumunta sa Animal Bite and Treatment Center at magpasuri sa healthcare worker! 🏥❗

RABIES POSITIVE - Awareness Post 🧠🐾

May patient kami na confirmed Rabies via BAI laboratory testing.

Why it wasn’t suspected immediately:
✔️ Mataba at well-cared
✔️ Indoor dog
✔️ Kumakain pa

Observed signs:
• Nagsusuka
• Biglaang pagbabago ng ugali
• Inaaway ang kasamang a*o
• Kinakagat ang sariling paa
• Nasusuka tuwing nilalagyan ng tubig ang bibig

History:
•Minsan lang nakalabas at nakaaway ang stray dog
•Hindi nabakunahan dahil “indoor lang”

Unfortunately, progression was rapid, at namatay ang patient.

⚠️ Important reminders for pet owners:

•Hindi lahat ng rabies ay aggressive agad
•Hindi lahat may obvious na sugat
•Kahit indoor pets can be exposed
•Rabies is 100% fatal once symptoms appear
•But 100% preventable through vaccination

💉 Vaccinate your pets - indoor or outdoor.

Rabies does not choose. Prevention saves lives.
