🌾🥦 Nutrition Month 2025 Culmination – DepEd La Carlota City 🥦🌾

With the theme “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”, the Schools Division of La Carlota City successfully culminates its month-long celebration of Nutrition Month 2025 through various school and division-wide activities that highlight the importance of health and nutrition for every Batang Mangkasanon. 💚

Among the major highlights of the culmination are:
📌 Division Health Lecture by Dr. Junnie Torrefranca, Chief of CDRRMO La Carlota, who shared valuable insights on Stroke.
📌 Search for Healthy Kindergarten, promoting the importance of proper nutrition during the early years of childhood.
📌 Nutritious Food Cooking Contest, showcasing creativity and healthy cooking skills—where our very own SGOD Team emerged as Champion! 🏆👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Through these activities, we continue to empower learners, teachers, and the community to make nutrition a priority, ensuring that every Batang Mangkasanon grows healthy, strong, and ready to achieve their dreams. 🌟

🥛🍲 SBFP Orientation for SY 2025-2026 🍲🥛

On August 15-16, 2025, the Schools Division Office of La Carlota City – Health and Nutrition Unit conducts the Orientation on the Policy and Guidelines for the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP).

The participants of this orientation are our School Heads and School Feeding Coordinators, who receive important updates to ensure smooth and effective implementation of SBFP this school year.

✅ Feeding Days: 120 days
✅ Milk Feeding Days: 15 days
✅ Important Update: All SBFP beneficiaries must be enrolled and encoded in the Learner Information System (LIS) to ensure accurate targeting, proper monitoring, and efficient reporting.

Through this orientation, we strengthen our shared mission to provide nutritious meals and milk to our Batang Mangkasanon, helping them stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn. 💚

🌾🥦 Nutrition Month 2025 Launching in DepEd La Carlota! 🥦🌾

With the theme “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”, we officially launched our Nutrition Month Celebration 2025 at La Carlota North Elementary School! 🎉

The event was highlighted by a Kick-off Caravan, a meaningful Convergence Program with the City Health Office of La Carlota, and a Ceremonial Feeding of SBFP Beneficiaries—a symbol of our commitment to ensuring that every Batang Mangkasanon has access to proper nutrition for better learning and brighter futures. 🍲✨

This celebration was made even more significant with the presence of our DepEd Officials, School Heads, SBFP Coordinators, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and the dedicated team of CHO La Carlota.

We are deeply honored by the support of our local government, especially our beloved city mayor, Hon. Joelu Jalandoni, who graced the occasion with his presence. 🙌

🥦🍚 Day 1 of School-Based Feeding Program SY 2025–2026! 🍎✨

The Health and Nutrition Unit of DepEd La Carlota City proudly kicks off the School-Based Feeding Program for this school year. This initiative aims to improve the nutritional status, classroom performance, and overall well-being of our young learners.

📌 Did you know? According to SBFP guidelines, beneficiaries are targeted among wasted and severely wasted learners based on their most recent nutritional status assessment. This ensures that those who need the most support are prioritized.

🦷✨ Celebrating National Oral Health Month 2025! ✨🦷

On February 21, 2025, the Health and Nutrition Section of SDO La Carlota City successfully culminated National Oral Health Month at Ferlou Elementary School with the theme "Pamilya, Una Kong Dentista: ."

A total of 100 learners participated in an engaging oral health education session led by Dr. Kirsten Flor L. Inocentes, Dentist II of SDO La Carlota, where they learned the importance of proper dental care. The event also provided free dental procedures to learners, thanks to the generous service of our volunteer dentists:
