BOSH for SO1 is an 8-hour OSH orientation plus 2-hour Training of Trainers designed to impart knowledge and skills on basic concepts and principles of occupational safety and health to enable potential safety officers (SO1-certification) to implement their respective company's safety and health program.

COSH training is the mandatory 40-hour training course required for safety officers employed in the construction industry under RA 11058 “An Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)”, its IRR DOLE Department Order No. 198, Series of 2018, and DOLE DO 13-98: Guidelines Governing Safety and Health in the Construction Industry.
This training aims to equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills in performing safety audits, assessment and analysis of hazards and risks in the construction industry, determining appropriate control measures, and developing and implementing OSH policies and programs.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐒𝐇 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬,

The Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) wishes to invite you to the 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐭𝐨-𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 “𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞” that will be held on 29 to 30 July 2025 in LaUnion (specific venue to be announced). A registration fee of ₱1,400.00 per participant will be collected to cover for training materials and meals (AM and PM snacks and lunch).

This advanced training course focuses on the principles of applied ergonomics in the workplace including the identification, assessment, and management of ergonomic risk factors in the office and industrial setting. This training will cover ergonomic concerns such as manual handling, work postures, computer ergonomics, and other ergonomic concerns in the workplace. The training will prepare the participants in developing strategies in managing identified risks and prevent the occurrence and recurrence of occupational and work-related injuries and illnesses.

To those interested, just make sure that you have taken any of these courses beforesubmitting your intent to participate:
• Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training Course for Safety Officer 1 or 2;
• BOSH Training Course for Nurses;
• Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Training Course; or
• Post-graduate Course in Occupational Health and Safety (PGCOHS).
