It was a privilege to take part in the Adoption and Alternative Child Care Week 2025, held on June 24–25 at Goldberry Suites and Hotel, Lapu-Lapu City. With the theme “Hope and Home of Every Child,” this meaningful event highlighted the importance of creating a nurturing, permanent, and loving environment for every child — affirming our shared commitment to child welfare and protection.
We would like to respectfully recognize the invaluable support of the Representative of the Lone District of Lapu-Lapu City and newly elected City Mayor, Hon. Congresswoman Ma. Cynthia “Cindi” Chan, and our City Mayor and newly elected Congressman, Hon. Junard “Ahong” Chan. Their unwavering advocacy for children and families continues to inspire and strengthen community efforts in child protection and alternative care.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Chief of Clinics of Lapu-Lapu City Hospital, Dr. Francis Quirante and the dedicated Social Workers of the Malasakit Center, whose presence and participation made this celebration even more impactful.
This initiative, organized by the Lapu-Lapu City Government through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) in collaboration with the Regional Alternative Child Care Office VII (RACCO VII), reflects the growing collective efforts to promote adoption and alternative child care as viable solutions in securing a better future for every child.
May we all continue working hand-in-hand to ensure that and no child is left behind. 🧡
