‼️LET'S LEARN FROM THIS, KABAYAN.

Kuya Ramon was an OFW in Saudi Arabia for 21 years. He had a good job and a large income, but he sacrificed himself for his family: he forgot about getting married himself, and instead spent his earnings putting his siblings and nephews/nieces through school.

In December 2018, he returned to the Philippines due to severe body pain and an inability to work anymore. At 61, he deserved to rest. But when his remittances stopped, the very family he spent everything on abandoned him. Today, Kuya Ramon is homeless around Luneta, with no proper shelter and often, nothing to eat.

💁‍♂️LIFE LESSONS:

1. Don't deplete yourself. It's not wrong to help, especially family, but always save something for your own future.

2. Invest and save. We are not strong forever. What will happen when you can no longer work?

3. Prioritize your own security. Helping others should not lead to your own ruin.

💁‍♂️The realizations are simple, but they can save your future.

The “Funeral Theory” says this: no matter how popular you are, only a few people—maybe around ten—will genuinely cry at your funeral.
And here’s the harder truth:
If the weather is bad, only about half of the people who know you will even show up.
Yet many of us spend our lives trying to please everyone.
We soften our words, shrink ourselves, and live in ways that keep others comfortable.
We worry so much about approval from people who wouldn’t bring an umbrella for us — people who won’t stand in the rain while we’re being laid to rest.
In the end, it’s never about the crowd. It’s about the few who show up, rain or shine. The ones who truly know you, love you, and choose you—even when it’s inconvenient.
So stop living for applause. Live for depth.
