What a privilege it was to share the international stage at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Korea 2025.
I presented on Gore-Tex in rhinoplastyāwhy it remains widely used in the Philippines, and how we safely manage its complications in practice, even as it's become less common in other Asian countries.
But beyond the lecture, the true highlight was the camaraderieāsharing dinner and meaningful conversations with the brilliant minds behind State of the Art Rhinoplasty Techniques: Perspectives from Korean Masters and Rebuilding Nose: Rhinoplasty for Asians, and of course, Dr. Yves Saban, the global figure in Preservation rhinoplasty.
What struck me most? Their humility.Despite being world-renowned rhinoplasty masters, they remain generous with their knowledge, warm in their welcome, and deeply passionate about teaching.
It was also a joy to reconnect with colleagues from the Rhinoplasty Society of Asia āsurgeons who continue to elevate Asian rhinoplasty through shared learning and friendship.
International conferences like these remind you that what you know is only a small part of the bigger pictureāand thereās always more to learn when you're surrounded by people who inspire you to keep growing.
