Did you know there are many types of grasp patterns that facilitate functional performance in daily activities like holding a pencil, cutting with scissors, buttoning pants, and practically every task we do throughout the day?

Some of those patterns include gross grasp, spherical grasp, pincer grasp, and conical grasp. Each grasp pattern relies on intrinsic and extrinsic muscle strength, coordination, and development.
