“Saan nagkulang ang aking pagmamahal?”
If you know someone who cheated (or if you did), take a look at our list of why people cheat and comment down the reason why they cheated.
Let’s take a quick look into the psychology of cheating and learn why people cheat (even those who seem to have a picture-perfect relationship).
Infidelity is the leading cause for divorce and break-ups and may trigger domestic violence. It is also a strong predictor of poor mental health, depression and anxiety. Given that there are a lot of negative consequences to cheating, why do people cheat? Saan nagsisimula magbago ang lahat? Sino ang hindi sapat? Saan nagkukulang ang pagmahahal?
1) Falling out of love 😞
2) Feeing neglected - some people cheat because of their partner’s lack of affection. More women than men recognized this motive for cheating.
3) Feeling bored - some people cheat because of their desire for variety. More men than women expressed this as a reason for their infedility.
4) Situational - like in partying, inuman, karaoke, work trips, group outings where people are thrown in opportunities they didn’t anticipate. More men than women identified this as a reason for cheating.
5) To boost self-esteem - for some, having an affair can boost their ego and self-esteem
6) To punish partner or enact revenge
Other reasons include not feeling committed which leads to falling out of love and sexual desires (not being compatibe sexually).
