Sa pinakahuling datos na inilabas ng PAGASA, makikita ang pagtaas ng heat index hanggang sa 46 degrees Celsius sa maraming lugar sa bansa.Patuloy nating nararamdaman ito sa kasalukuyan.

Measles vaccines are safe and effective. They are also inexpensive. Children should receive two doses of the vaccine to ensure they are immune.

All children should be vaccinated against measles.

Barangay Health Workers from Sto. Tomas and Sta. Maria, Pangasinan gathered at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Complex Balikbayan Hall for a workshop on Interpersonal Communication Skills and Counseling, hosted by the Region 1 Medical Center Public Health Unit. The event, held on January 26, 2023, began with an impactful opening message from Mam Jasmin T. Baloca (DOH-DMO IV). Participants gained insights into fostering open and informed discussions to dispel myths, promote vaccine acceptance, and ensure the overall health and well-being of the community. Role-playing exercises and group discussions enabled Barangay Health Workers to practice effective communication and counseling techniques tailored to vaccine-related conversations.

This event marks a significant step towards empowering healthcare providers at the grassroots level, ensuring that they are well-equipped to address vaccine-related concerns and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.

In a strategic move towards precision, the Urdaneta City Health Office joined forces with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) at the Magic Mall Annex Atrium on January 18, 2024, to calibrate weighing instruments in preparation for the upcoming Operation Timbang Plus.

This collaborative effort aims to ensure that weighing instruments meet the highest standards of accuracy, setting the stage for the seamless ex*****on of Operation Timbang Plus. Volunter workers (Barangay Nutrition Scholars), Barangay Nutrition committee members and DOST experts engaged in calibration sessions, anticipating the positive impact on health assessments, data reliability, and stride towards accurate and impactful community health assessments.
