Ang MR-SIA 2026 amo nga ang Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity — isa ka daku nga kampanya sang pagbakuna nga ginabuhat sang Department of Health (DOH) aron maprotektahan ang mga bata kontra sa tigdas kag rubella.

Ano ang MR-SIA?

- Isa ka pagbakunahan para sa tanan nga bata nga nagaangkon sang target nga edad, bisan pa kon nabakunahan na sila dati.
- Katuyoan sini: Mapunan ang mga kakulangan sang bakuna kag malikawan ang pagkaylap sang mga kaso sang tigdas kag rubella.

Mga Detalye sang MR-SIA 2026

- Panahon: Gikan Enero 19 hasta Pebrero 13, 2026
- Target: Mga bata nga edad 6 bulan hasta 59 bulan
- Rason: Tungod kay nagadako ang mga kaso sang tigdas kag aron malikawan ang labi pang kadaku-an nga pagkaylap sang sakit.

Ngaa importante ini?

- Ang tigdas kag rubella dali kaayo makahawa kag delikado kaayo labi na sa mga gamay nga bata.
- Pinaagi sa MR-SIA, maprotektahan naton ang mga bata kag mapugngan ang pagkaylap sang sakit sa komunidad.

📢 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Local Government Unit of Malungon thru the Local Youth Development Office and SK Federation of Malungon, in partnership with ASEAN-Pacific Orygen Youth Mental Health-Orygene Australia Alumni and Family Planning of the Philippines (FPOP) - SOCCKSARGEN, warmly invites young individuals to take part in Re-Echo on Youth Health and Well-being: A Training of Trainers, happening on January 24–25, 2026.

This initiative aims to identify and nurture youth health warriors in Malungon who are passionate about promoting mental health, prevention of teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and SOGIE awareness. Through interactive sessions and guided learning, participants will be equipped to actively contribute to community-based health advocacy.

Selected participants will automatically become part of the Malungon Peer Educators and will undergo extensive training and capacity-building activities to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence in serving as peer educators in their respective barangays and/or schools.

Young individuals who are willing to learn, collaborate, and serve their communities are encouraged to apply. No prior experience is required— commitment, openness, and a genuine interest in youth health and well-being are what matter most.

The 14th Sangguniang Barangay of Malandag headed by Hon. Helen "Bebing" Allaga-Aradanas paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Mayor B**g Constantino earlier this day January 13 2026, strengthening ties and reinforcing cooperation between the barangay and the municipal government. The visit served as an opportunity to express mutual support and alignment on shared goals for local development.

They discussed matters concerning community welfare and future initiatives that aim to improve public service delivery. The meeting highlights the importance of open communication and collaboration in addressing the needs of the people.

The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Malandag formally welcomed students from Malandag National High School who will undergo their student immersion program today, January 12, 2026 after the barangay’s flag ceremony. The activity marks the beginning of a hands-on learning experience aimed at exposing students to real-life public service at the barangay level.

The immersion program is designed to help students understand how basic services and local governance are planned, implemented, and delivered within the community. Punong Barangay Hon. Helen “Bebing” Aradanas emphasized the importance of early exposure to public service, stating, “Importante gid nga makita kag maeksperyensyahan sang aton mga kabataan kung paano ginahimo kag paano ang ensakto nga pagserbisyo sa barangay.”

Through this partnership , the BLGU Malandag hopes to inspire students to become more aware, responsible, and engaged citizens. By allowing them to observe and participate in day-to-day barangay operations, the program aims to nurture future leaders who value transparency, service, and community involvement.

Helen “Bebing” Aradanas earlier today, January 12, 2026, immediately after the barangay’s flag ceremony. This underscores the barangay leadership’s firm stance on enforcing local ordinances without exception.

The act was done to strengthen public trust and to encourage residents to strictly comply with the ordinance regulating the use of open pipe mufflers. Hon. Aradanas emphasized that discipline must begin within the ranks of law enforcers themselves. She stated, “Bilang taga pagpatuman sang balaod, kita dapat magpakita sang husto nga ehemplo para sa katawhan.”

The Barangay Government of Malandag reiterats that setting a good example is a powerful way to influence the community. By taking responsibility and submitting to the same rules imposed on the public, barangay officials and BPAT personnel aim to inspire citizens to follow the law, promote road safety, and help maintain peace and order within the community.

Helen “Bebing” Allaga-Aradanas, conducted an onsite inspection of completed and on going barangay projects last January 5, 2026, marking their first official duty of the year. The said deep dive demonstrates the council’s commitment to transparency and proper implementation of public funds.

The inspection covered all projects funded by the barangay, ensuring that each one is executed according to plan and serves its intended purpose. “Ini nga mga proyekto ginpundohan sang kwarta sang katawhan, kag responsibilidad namon nga masiguro nga makabenepisyo guid ang komunidad kag mga residente” said Kapitana Aradanas, emphasizing the council’s accountability to their constituents.

🚨𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐠 𝐁𝐏𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝟑 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲

Three violators were caught by the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) of Malandag along the National Highway, Malandag on January 07, 2026, for violating regulations on the use of open pipe mufflers.

The said action was carried out in accordance with Barangay Ordinance No. 2013-02, An Ordinance Penalizing Reckless Driving and the Use of Open Pipe Mufflers of Vehicles within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province.

Barangay Captain Helen “Bebing” Aradanas emphasized that the BLGU, in coordination with the BPAT, remains firm and serious in enforcing this ordinance to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents of Malandag. She also urged motorists to comply with existing laws and warned the public of the corresponding penalties for violations.
