On July 23, 2024, the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar, headed by Mrs. Filipina C. Delos Reyes (MCR), conducted a training on How to Fill Out a Certificate of Live Birth and Updates on New Guidelines for Delayed Registration of Birth.

The said event was attended by participants from various barangays/agencies: representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA),rural health midwives (RHM) from the Municipal Health Office (MHO), barangay nutrition scholars (BNS), barangay health workers (BHW), barangay secretaries, trained birth attendants (Hilot), and record officers of both public and private hospitals in the municipality of Malay.

The objectives of the activity are to provide our constituents accurate information with regard to the registration of birth, answer questions concerning the matter, emphasize the importance of the correctness of information written in the Certificate of Live Birth, and ensure that fraudulent or erroneous entries in the COLB are avoided.
