PuroKalusugan Conducted at Sitio Casakgudan, San Ramon East! 🏥❤️

Today, the Rural Health Unit of Manabo successfully conducted a PuroKalusugan outreach activity at Sitio Casakgudan, San Ramon East, bringing vital healthcare services and health education to the community.

✅ NCD Risk Assessment
🧪 Free Laboratory Tests – Random Blood Sugar (RBS) & Urinalysis (UA)
🦷 Dental Fluoridization for children
👩‍⚕️ Medical Consultations using the IMCI (Integrated Management of Childhood Illness) approach
📋 PhilHealth Membership Assistance & e-Konsulta Registration
🍽️ Feeding Activity for children as part of our nutrition program

We also conducted SBCC (Social and Behavior Change Communication) sessions focused on:
🍎 Proper Nutrition
🦷 Oral and Dental Care
💉 Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Prevention

🌟 Another Proud Day for Manabo! 🌟

Our Rural Health Unit, in partnership with LHIO-ABRA, successfully brought essential healthcare services closer to the community through the PhilHealth Konsulta Caravan, held at the Manabo Municipal Gymnasium. 🏥👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

As the 5th Blessed Municipality chosen by LHIO-ABRA for this meaningful initiative, this marks a significant milestone for Manabo and a proud moment for all our dedicated health workers. 💙

From meticulous planning to seamless execution—from initial registration to the actual delivery of vital health services—this event truly showcased the power of collaboration between RHU Manabo and LHIO-ABRA.

📣 School-Based Immunization Update from RHU Manabo!

We're proud to share the successful launch of our School-Based Immunization Program at Manabo National High School, where 181 Grade 7 students received their Measles-Rubella (MR) and Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) vaccines. 💉✅

🛡️ But we’re not done yet!
We continue to encourage all parents to support this important health initiative:

👶 Grade 1 Students – MR & Td Vaccines
👧 Grade 4 Girls – 1st dose of the HPV Vaccine
👩 Grade 5 Girls – 2nd dose of the HPV Vaccine

These vaccines are safe, free, and effective in protecting your children from serious diseases. 💙 Let's work together to keep our learners healthy and in school!

PurokAlusugan at Sitio Liagan: Health Services Delivered with Dedication and Heart ❤️🏥

Yesterday, the dedicated team from the RHU and DOH Human Resources for Health (HRH), led by our DMO Dr. Marlon Valera, braved the long walk to reach Sitio Liagan, San Ramon West, to conduct our PurokAlusugan outreach activity.

The journey wasn’t easy—we walked for more than an hour to reach the sitio. But despite the challenging terrain, the stunning scenery and warm welcome of the community made every step worth it. 🌿⛰️

Services rendered included:
✅ School-Based Immunization (SBI)
✅ Free Urine Dipstick and Blood Sugar Testing
✅ Deworming
✅ NCD (Non-Communicable Disease) Risk Assessment
✅ Dental Check-up and Fluoridization
✅ Nutrition Counseling
✅ Pre-natal Services
✅ Routine Immunizations
✅ SBCC (Social and Behavior Change Communication) on Dental Health, WASH, NCDs, Nutrition and more.

In response to the inclement weather, based on the latest PAGASA advisory:

This morning, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), together with the MSWD, BFP, PNP, and LGU representatives, convened to discuss and strategize on how to address the possible impacts of the ongoing typhoon affecting our province.

Following this coordination meeting, the Manabo RHU – DRRM-H, led by Dr. Dexter Apolonio, Municipal Health Officer and DRRM-H Manager, immediately conducted an emergency meeting — held face-to-face and online for those unable to attend physically.

Key points discussed included:

OpCen duty schedules and proper delegation of duties and responsibilities

Readiness of supplies, equipment, and emergency medical kits

Protocols for responding to emergency cases during the typhoon

Coordination procedures with partner agencies for faster response

The Manabo RHU Operation Center is now fully activated and operational 24/7, ensuring continuous monitoring and immediate response to any health-related emergencies that may arise.

We call on everyone to remain vigilant and prioritize safety while we continue to monitor the situation closely.

Community members were able to avail of the following FREE services:

📝 PhilPEN Risk Assessment
🧪 Sputum Collection for GeneXpert Testing

This activity also supports our No Smoking Campaign, reminding everyone that living a smoke-free life helps protect our lungs and prevent diseases like TB. 🚭
