We’re proud to share that Nicole, a valued member of the MetaHealth community, will be taking a one-year study leave to pursue her Master of Public Health (MPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS)—on a full scholarship.

Nicole’s academic journey is marked by excellence—she recently graduated with a Master of Arts in Health Policy Studies (MAHPS) from the College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila.

NUS is recognized as #1 in Asia and #8 globally by the QS World University Rankings 2026. This next step reflects Nicole’s commitment to advancing public health and health systems strengthening, and we look forward to the expertise she will bring back to MetaHealth.

On June 20, 2025, leaders from PhilHealth, DOH, LGUs, patient groups, academe, and industry came together for the 2nd Stakeholder Meeting of the EpiCOb-PH Study—a groundbreaking effort to uncover the true health and economic impact of obesity in the Philippines.

This collaborative step moves us closer to data-driven, multisectoral solutions to combat obesity stigma, improve education, strengthen relevant policies, and protect future generations.

Why it matters: Obesity is more than a personal issue—it’s a national concern that demands united action from clinics to communities, healthcare providers to policymakers.
