BREAKING: Per recommendation of the Manila DRRM Office, IN PERSON or FACE-TO-FACE afternoon classes in ALL LEVELS for both public and private are suspended due to the volcanic sulfuric dioxide emission from Taal Volcano.

Work in the city government of Manila, including its satellite offices, is likewise suspended starting 1:00PM.

However, agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disaster and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.

The public is advised to continue wearing face masks and to limit outdoor activities when possible.

BREAKING: Malacañang suspends classes in public schools at all levels and work in government offices in Metro Manila and the Province of Bulacan on Friday, August 25.

This is in support to the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 opening ceremony to be held at Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Suspension of work and classes for private companies and schools are left to the discretion of the respective heads, as stated in Memorandum Circular No. 27.
