In celebration of Philippine Heart Month, Dr. Closa conducted a lecture on heart health for our elders today. The session covered practical tips for maintaining a healthy heart and managing cardiovascular wellness. Thank you Dr. Closa for sharing your expertise with our group! ❤️

In observance ofNational Awareness Week for the Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Health Education and Promotion Officer Ms. Niña Leyte conducted a lecture. The session covered legal protections and essential tips for identifying and preventing abuse and where to report. Attendees gained practical knowledge on recognizing red flags and reporting exploitation to ensure community safety.

After the lecture IEC brochure given to participants. This initiative emphasizes the power of education in protecting the vulnerable and ending the cycle of abuse.

Celebrating Love through Words and Wisdom
Our "Heart Talks" Valentine’s Special celebrated love through handmade cards and an exciting love quiz, where patients joyfully expressed their emotions and received special gifts for their participation.

Promoting Healthy Aging Through Art & Social Engagement 🥰

Dr. Romeo Destura, fellows led a Day Care activity for elderly patients who visit the hospital every Friday, including those waiting for services.
Participants shared their favorite foods through a fun music-and-ball game, giving each one a chance to speak. Many highlighted choosing more vegetables over meat and shared their talents, cooking, singing, dancing, and most heartwarming of all, giving their time to help others.
The activity ended with smiles, simple gifts, and joyful hearts ❤️.

Please be informed that there will be NO OPD tomorrow (February 17, 2026) in observance of Chinese New Year, a declared special non-working holiday.

Regular clinic services will resume on the next working day.

Today, Ms. Armi Lyn Custodio, Nurse Supervisor of the Department of Geriatric Medicine, shared her valuable knowledge on Elderly Fall Prevention with our elderly participants.

The session was fully supported by their Cluster Head, Dr. June Cañedo, together with the Nursing Specialty Services supervisors and staff, showing strong teamwork in promoting the safety and well-being of our elderly.
