The UST Hospital Department of Family and Community Medicine warmly congratulates all its residents for their active participation in the WONCA Iloilo Asia Pacific Regional Conference, held at the Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City, from March 25–27, 2026, in conjunction with the PAFP 65th Anniversary and Annual Convention (March 23–24, 2026), with the theme: “Family Physicians Gifted to Give: Hearts that Care for Persons, Family, and Community.”

The UST Hospital Department of Family and Community Medicine joyfully welcomes and congratulates our first year residents for having their White Coat Ceremony last January 28, 2026.

Congratulations and welcome to the family, Dr. Jayson D.P Ongchinke, Dr. Mary Jane O. San Juan, Dr. Elaine Joyce T. Ang (Midyear), and Dr. Ma. Angelica Luz C. Lacerna.

The White Coat Ceremony, which typically involves a formal "robing" or "cloaking" of physicians in white coats, is considered a rite of passage in the journey toward a healthcare career. The UST Hospital puts priority on the significance of starting their training with this ritual, which serves to remind trainees of the dignity of their profession as physicians, and their responsibility in the conduct of their profession, setting the tone for their commitment to profesionalism and humanism.
