π—§π—›π—˜ 𝟯 π—§π—¬π—£π—˜π—¦ 𝗒𝗙 𝗣π—₯π—’π— π—œπ—¦π—˜π—¦ π—ͺπ—˜ 𝗕π—₯π—˜π—”π—ž 😭

Years ago, I could follow through for everyone else… but not for me.

πŸ‘‰ If it was for my team, I’d deliver.

πŸ‘‰ If it was for a project, presentation, or event, kahit puyat, I’d push through.

πŸ‘‰ Pero kapag personal goals ko na β€” like working out, journaling, or meditating β€” ang daling humirit sa sarili ko ng:

β€œBukas na lang. Deserve ko ang pahinga.”

And guess what? Months later, I was still stuck.

Still frustrated. Still breaking promises to the one person who mattered most: me.

That’s when I realized, there are 3 types of promises we all break:

1️⃣ Promises to others – Visible. People see if you don’t show up, so you force yourself.

2️⃣ Promises to deadlines – Negotiable. Pwede pang i-extend, pwede pang ilusot minsan.

3️⃣ Promises to yourself – Invisible. Walang makaka-call out, except the person in the mirror.

And ironically, the 3rd one yung pinaka-madaling i-break kasi walang immediate consequence. Walang magagalit. Walang makakaalam.

Pero here’s the catch:

Every broken promise to yourself weakens your identity.

You start believing:

"Hindi ko naman tinutupad, so why even try?"

Your confidence drops. Your self-trust disappears. Your word becomes meaningless β€” even to you.

And that's the moment your life starts to go downhill. πŸ₯²

When I realized this, I tried something different.

Instead of grand promises, I started small:

βœ”οΈ 15 mins of exercise? Show up.
βœ”οΈ 3 lines in my journal? Write them.
βœ”οΈ 1 page of reading? Finish it.

Tiny promises. But this time, non-negotiable.

After that, everything around me just got better.

I stopped carrying the shame of always starting over, and began seeing myself as someone I could actually trust.

And trust in yourself?

That's the foundation of everything. ✊
