The 25th of August marks National Heroes Day: a date set to remind us of the sacrifices of the brave 🎖️. From the tearing of cedulas in Pugad Lawin, to the unnamed heroes whose courage echoed through time, may their honor and dedication inspire us to stand united and free.

To Filipinos, August 25 is more than a mark in the calendar. It is a symbol of independence and freedom, one that transcends the passage of time. For heroism did not end in the battlefields past, but lives through the choices we make in the present.

Long live our heroes, our unity, and our freedom. 🌟🔰

Just like the stars that formed constellations to guide the travelers through the night, these student leaders were destined to come together to illuminate the path of the MLS community. These student leaders don’t only shine for their paths alone, but they are called to serve.

Together, we carry the hopes and voices of the student body, transforming vision into action and challenges into opportunities. With passion as our compass and service as our mission, we, the Executive Committee, stand ready to lead, inspire, and leave a legacy for the MLS community in the year ahead.

Hello mga Katusoks 💉👋🏻 This week’s second holiday marks the 𝟒𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 of 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 "𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲" 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐞ó𝐧 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. Coming back from the United States on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟏, 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟑, he was assassinated at the Manila International Airport - now known, in his honor, as the 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (NAIA).

Despite his early passing, he showed us what it meant to love our motherland through action and in speech. Let us then consider what we can do for our country today. For who else can see its status but you and me?

Ngayong ika-19 ng Agosto, ating ipinagdiriwang ang kapanganakan ng Ama ng Wikang Pambansa—si dating Pangulong Manuel L. Quezon—na naglingkod at nag-alay ng kanyang talino at panahon para sa ikauunlad ng ating bansa. Sa kanyang mga naging kontribusyon, isinilang ang lungsod na ating kinikilalang tahanan. Sa araw na ito, ating gunitain ang makulay na kasaysayan, mayamang kultura, at kahanga-hangang pag-unlad ng ating minamahal na Lungsod Quezon.

Nawa’y magsilbing paalala ang pagdiriwang na ito na ang ating lungsod ay higit pa sa mga gusali at kalsada—ito ay buhay na patunay ng ating pagkakaisa, katatagan, at matibay na pag-asa para sa mas maliwanag na kinabukasan. Patuloy nating itaguyod at pahalagahan ang Lungsod Quezon—ang ating tahanan, ang ating dangal.🎗️
