๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ (๐บ๐ท๐ญ๐ช), in collaboration with the ๐ช๐บ๐บ๐ฏโ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ช ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐, successfully conducted its career readiness program, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ซ-๐: ๐๐๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐๐ก๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฉ, on April 26, 2026, at MSU Balindong Community High School.
The program aimed to guide senior high school students in making informed career choices through a series of engaging and meaningful activities. It began with registration and preliminaries, followed by opening remarks and an interactive icebreaker that set a positive and energetic tone for the day. Participants were then introduced to SPFC, CSSH-OGC Peer Support Team, and the invited speakers, establishing a clear context for the discussions ahead.
Following this was the presentation of MSUโMain Campus undergraduate offerings and aligned academic strands, complemented by a discussion on program rationale and relevant enrollment statistics. These sessions provided students with valuable insights into potential academic pathways they may pursue after senior high school.
Focusing on the importance of career choice, the session emphasized how self-awareness and informed decisions shape oneโs future, further enriched by an open forum that encouraged participants to share questions and insights. Complementing this, the program integrated mental health awareness through a short psychoeducation session and the administration of the DASS-21 and RIASEC tests (by approval and authorization of registered guidance counselors) enabling students to reflect on their emotional well-being and personal interests, with necessary and relevant results later presented and interpreted to help them better understand their strengths and preferences in relation to career planning.
One of the key highlights of the program was the afternoon session, where participants actively engaged in career mapping and focused group sessions. This collaborative space allowed them to explore their goals and aspirations more deeply, followed by a meaningful sharing of common interests and a synthesis of insights, ultimately leading to the identification of concrete and actionable steps toward their future career paths.
The event concluded with closing remarks and a photo opportunity, marking the success of a day filled with learning, reflection, and inspiration. Through this initiative, SPFC continues its commitment to empowering students to take gradual yet meaningful steps toward achieving their dreamsโtruly embodying the spirit of โdahan-dahan sa pangarap.โ
N.B. Test results used for discussion were from the students' accomplished RIASEC test. They evaluated their own results and provided their insight from it through a controlled focus group discussion (FGD) circle by peer counselors and facilitators.
Warmest and deepest gratitude to the Project Head Jehan Mamailao and Coordinator Fatima Kayma Said, for the efforts and dedication in making the event possible. Much appreciation as well, to the MSU Division of Student Affairs for their constant support in all of our endeavors.
Most importantly, thank you so much, MSU Balindong Community Highschool, for welcoming the circle with warm enthusiasm and energy!
