We are happy to announce that we have successfully collected 73 units of blood out of 84 donors during our Mobile Blood Donation Drive today!

This achievement would not be possible without the kindness and cooperation of everyone involved. We thank all the donors and participants who responded to our call. POST TRAINING MONITORING AND EVALUATION (PTME)

Today, May 4, 2026, the Post Training Monitoring and Evaluation for BEmONC Trained Personnel was successfully conducted at the Milagros Municipal Health Office.

The evaluation was conducted by Ms. Ma. Cristy E. Destura, BEMONC Nurse from the Bicol Regional Health & Medical Center (BRHMC).

The activity aimed to achieve the following objectives:
✅ Assess and monitor the progress of action plans
✅ Assess and monitor the delivery of BEmONC Signal Functions
✅ Provide technical assistance to address identified gaps

Present during the evaluation was Municipal Health Officer, Dra. Irene Grace G. Calucin, together with Mrs. Mary Jane S. Dalanon, Chief Nurse of the Provincial Health Office of Masbate. Also present were the BEMONC Trained Personnel of MHO Milagros: Mrs. Ana Rose R. Floresta, RN., Mrs. Garnet B. Arcenas, RN., Mrs. Hazel Ann Atlao, RN., Mrs. Lura D. Arnedo, RM, RSI., Ms. Irene S. Esquillo, RM, and Ms. Emma M. Arriesgado, RM.

Through continuous monitoring and teamwork, we ensure that quality emergency obstetric care is readily available to serve our community. Committed to excellence, dedicated to save lives! 🏥🩺

Meeting with households in Brgy. Capaculan who are planning to construct their own sanitary toilets, together with our Sanitary Inspectors Lura D. Arnedo & Mark Anthony Tuyan and Nurse Aira M.Gabionza. This activity aims to provide proper guidance on sanitation standards, promote safe and hygienic toilet construction, and ensure the health and well-being of every family in the community.

Through collaboration and continuous education, we are working towards improving sanitation practices and preventing the spread of diseases—one household at a time. Together, we build not just facilities, but a cleaner, healthier, and safer barangay for everyone.

Successfully conducted the Municipal/Barangay-level MELLPI PRO (Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol) last week & this week in selected barangays (CALASUCHE, TAWAD, NARANGASAN, BANGAD, POB.EAST & BACOLOD) with the goal of assessing the implementation, efficiency, and overall effectiveness of local nutrition programs.

This activity served as an essential platform to identify best practices, recognize strengths, and address existing gaps—ensuring continuous improvement in the delivery of quality nutrition services to our communities.

This accomplishment was made possible through the strong collaboration and unwavering commitment of the Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Rural Health Midwives and Nurses assigned in the barangays, and our dedicated barangay officials. Their collective efforts remain instrumental in advancing nutrition initiatives at the grassroots level.

Maraming nanay ang natatakot sa pagpapasuso dahil iniisip nilang masakit ito.

Ang totoo, normal lang makaramdam ng kaunting kirot sa simula, lalo na habang natututo si baby ng tamang paglatch. Pero sa tamang posisyon at proper latch, unti-unti itong nababawasan at kadalasan ay tuluyang nawawala.

Ang mahalaga, makinig sa katawan mo at huwag mahiyang humingi ng tulong mula sa partner, pamilya, o isang Breastfeeding Support Group. Sa tamang gabay at suporta, mas magiging komportable at masaya ang bawat feeding session para sa’yo at kay baby. 🤱🏻

Today, the DOH-Bicol CHD, together with our Municipal Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (MESU) Team and the BLGU of Paraiso, successfully conducted the 𝐀𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬-𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

The surveillance team did several key activities, including:
• 𝑳𝒂𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 & 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒚𝒔 – Spotting and monitoring mosquito breeding sites.
• 𝑽𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 – Checking if our current prevention methods are working.
• 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒇𝒇 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 – DOH Bicol-CHD provided advanced training for our RHU staff and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs).
• 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 – Ensuring our control measures stay effective against mosquitoes.
