In this final part of our interview series, Dr. Myron L. Cayabyab shares two deeply personal and contrasting stories from his practice that highlight why our advocacy matters so much.

Dr. Cayabyab recalls a patient who waited two years to seek help for a visible neck mass. By the time she was admitted, she was struggling to breathe, and her thyroid cancer had already spread to her lungs, spine, and brain. Despite a brave fight, the delay in consultation made it a difficult battle.
On the other hand, he shares the story of a mother who felt constantly drained of energy. Though she had no visible lump, she decided to get checked. She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), and with just one tablet a day, her life was transformed. She regained her energy, was able to exercise, and could fully enjoy caring for her child again.
The difference between these two stories is ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐. Whether you have a visible mass or "silent" symptoms like persistent fatigue, getting checked can change your life.
Thank you for joining us for this series with Dr. Cayabyab! We hope these insights inspire you to take charge of your health.
