JANUARY 30 Reflection for the Day

January 30, 2026

Have I gained freedom simply because one day I was weak and the next day I became suddenly strong? Have I changed from the helpless and hopeless person I once seemed to be simply by resolving, from now on, things will be different? Is the fact that I am more comfortable today than ever before the result of my own will power? Can I take credit for pulling myself up by my own bootstraps? I know better, for I sought refuge in a Power greater than myself—a Power that is still beyond my ability to visualize.

Do I consider the change in my life a miracle far beyond the working of any human power?

Today I Pray

As the days of abstinence lengthen, and the moment of decision becomes farther behind me, may I never lose sight of the Power that changed my life. May I remember that my abstinence is an ongoing miracle, not just a once-in-a-lifetime transformation.

Pagninilay para sa Araw na ito

Nakamit ko ba ang kalayaan dahil lang sa isang araw nanghina ako at kinabukasan ay bigla akong naging malakas? Nagbago na ba ako mula sa taong walang magawa at walang pag-asa na minsan ay tila naging simpleng paglutas ko, mula ngayon, mag-iiba na ang mga bagay? Ang katotohanan ba na ako ay mas komportable ngayon kaysa dati ay resulta ng aking sariling kapangyarihan? Maaari ba akong kumuha ng kapurihan para sa paghila sa aking sarili sa pamamagitan ng aking sariling mga bootstrap? Mas alam ko, dahil naghanap ako ng kanlungan sa isang Kapangyarihang mas dakila kaysa sa aking sarili—isang Kapangyarihang lampas pa rin sa aking kakayahang makita.

Itinuturing ko bang isang himala ang pagbabago sa aking buhay na higit pa sa paggawa ng anumang kapangyarihan ng tao?

Ngayon Ipinagdarasal Ko...

Habang humahaba ang mga araw ng pag-iwas, at ang sandali ng pagpapasya ay nagiging malayo sa aking likuran, nawa'y hindi mawala sa isip ko ang Kapangyarihang nagpabago sa aking buhay. Nawa'y tandaan ko na ang aking pag-iwas ay isang patuloy na himala, hindi lamang isang beses sa isang buhay na pagbabago.

Ngayon tatandaan ko...

Ang buhay ay isang patuloy na himala.
