LTJG FRIENDLY R MERCADO PCG, is a proud member of CGOC Class 25-2020 Bravo, has shown exceptional leadership throughout her career that embodies discipline, accountability, professionalism, and compassion.
She is the current Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Northeastern Palawan, guiding her unit to earn two consecutive “Station of the Year” awards under Coast Guard District Palawan. Her steady command has strengthened the station’s performance in maritime safety, search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, and environmental protection, resulting in successful operations that safeguarded lives and supported coastal communities in Calamian group of islands.
She has built stronger partnerships with LGUs, strengthening inter-agency cooperation and camaraderie with various stakeholders in improving emergency readiness, maritime safety and promote responsible coastal stewardship within the municipalities.
LTJG Mercado firmly upholds that leadership is built on character and that service reputation is shaped by how we uphold our values, by how we act when no one is watching and how we treat our people with respect and integrity.
She continues to lead by example and inspiring her personnel through professionalism, discipline, humility and compassion.
