The month of ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ is declared as the ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก and one of the best ways to celebrate it is to hold a milk-letting drive.
In partnership with the Local Government Unit of Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippine Medical Association - Nueva Vizcaya Chapter, Philippine Pediatric Society Northeastern Luzon Chapter and ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ - ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ค ๐๐๐ง๐ค , a successful milk-letting drive and breastfeeding awareness and education were conducted in the Municipality of Quezon last August 22, 2024.
Our pediatricians, Dr. Caroline Calingayan and Dr. Daryl Grace Basat (Head of the Human Milk Bank - R2TMC) together Mam Girlie Viloria (Human Milk Bank Staff), provided the community with lectures which emphasized the benefits of breastmilk and the role of donating milk.
We would like to extend our gratitutde to everyone behind the success of this activity especially to our lactating moms who were more than willing to donate their liquid gold. Your donated breast milk will go a long way!
