Pinalawig ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang validity ng 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗸𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 nakatakdang mag-expire ngayong 𝟯𝟬 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘆𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 hanggang 𝟬𝟯 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

𝐋𝐓𝐎 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭

In response to widespread disruption caused by Severe Tropical Storm Crising and the southwest monsoon, Land Transportation Office Region VI (LTO‑6) Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II has directed all LTO‑6 personnel to grant motorists additional leeway on late renewals and new registrations.

Pursuant to memorandum dated July 25 issued by Acting Assistant Secretary and LTO Chief Atty. Greg G. Pua Jr., Director Geduspan urged personnel to familiarize themselves with the waiver’s inclusive dates and avoid any client complaints regarding unawareness of the policy.

Under Acting Asec Pua’s memorandum, motor vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses expiring July 21–25, 2025, will incur no weekly surcharge if renewed by August 8, 2025. Validity of those registrations and licenses is likewise extended to August 8, 2025.

For vehicles purchased July 21–25, 2025, the count of days for penalty purposes (from the date of the sales invoice) will only begin on the next working day after August 8, 2025. The 15‑day period to settle traffic fines for violations dated July 21–25, 2025, without penalty now runs through August 8, 2025.

“These extensions are crucial to accommodate our clients whose mobility and paperwork were disrupted by recent storms,” Director Geduspan emphasized. “I expect every LTO‑6 office to fully implement the memorandum and ensure motorists receive the assistance they need.”

Motorists are advised to visit their nearest LTO before the August 8 deadline to take advantage of the waivers and extensions.
