Last night, my eldest woke us up in the middle of the night due to nose bleed or epistaxis. It lasted for atleast 30 mins with blood clots coming out of his nose. He was crying hysterically too 🫣

We were getting ready to bring him to the ER when it thankfully stop due after constant pressure, and cold compression.

This morning, we brought him to Dr. Enzo Quitiquit: Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery of FamilyCare and FamilyCare Castillejos.

After a thorough check up, the culprit was the cold dry air from our aircon (the temp was down to 17 😅) and his constant scratching of his nose. These conditions created a small laceration inside his right nostril.

So to my fellow mommies, this is a reminder to regulate your room temp esp when it’s raining and to seek consultation with ENT for early diagnosis and management.
