is reeling from the devastating impact of the recent magnitude 6.9 earthquake. Thousands of families are displaced, in urgent need of assistance.
The STI - Red Cross Youth Council is mobilizing to provide immediate relief and we need 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 🤝 help to reach those most affected.

Your vital contributions can provide comfort and sustenance. We are urgently accepting:

🚨 EARTHQUAKE ALERT: STAY CALM, ACT SAFELY 🚨

A seismic event has been detected in our area. Do not panic—follow these steps immediately:

1. DUCK under a sturdy table or desk.
2. COVER your head and neck with one arm.
3. HOLD on to your shelter until shaking stops.

- Avoid windows, glass, and heavy furniture.
- If outdoors, move to an open area away from buildings and power lines.
- If in bed, stay there and protect your head with a pillow.

After shaking ends, check for injuries and follow local authorities’ instructions. Stay informed via official channels.

Disasters may strike at any moment⛈️🌊🌪. Being prepared is one way to keep safe. Emergency and disaster preparedness starts with knowing your emergency plan⚠️. Know what actions you are going to take and where to go in case of disaster. Prepare a supply kit with essentials inside; (water, food, first aid kit, and emergency lights) ⛑️🎒. Stay informed📻, watch news and weather updates from time to time to keep updated📺. Practice your plan together with your family to ensure that everyone knows what to do when disaster strikes. Lastly, saving your local emergency hotlines is also a big help to ask in times of emergency or rescue☎. Being prepared can make a big difference in making your family and loved ones safe in a disaster.

🌊 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀🌏

The 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 of 𝗦𝗧𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗰, together with fellow RCY Councils under the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 - 𝗢𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗰 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿, took decisive action for the International Coastal Clean-up at the Anilao River! 🤝

Guided by the International Coastal Clean-up 2025 theme: "𝑨𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒉-𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕'𝒔," our committed volunteers dedicated their efforts to Ormoc City's Anilao River, diligently removing waste to preserve our precious ecosystems. 🌱 This collaborative initiative underscores a shared dedication to environmental stewardship and impactful community service. 💚
