Earlier today, the LCUAA Executive Committee (ExeCom) convened for a committee meeting to discuss updates on the status of the various committees in preparation for the upcoming LCUAA Games 2026, which will be hosted by Ormoc City. The meeting served as a venue to assess the current progress of preparations and to identify key areas that require immediate attention as the most awaited athletic event draws closer.

The meeting was presided over by Atty. Nolito M. Quilang and was attended by committee representatives from various offices and partner agencies. Among those present was Dr. Edmund Kierulf, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, along with other key officials involved in the planning and implementation of the upcoming LCUAA Games 2026.

The LCUAA Games 2026 is expected to gather student-athletes from local colleges across Region VIII. The event aims to highlight not only athletic excellence and competitive sportsmanship, but also institutional collaboration and unity among participating schools.

Atty. Nolito M. Quilang, Council Chairperson, presented the Annual Report highlighting the Councilโ€™s accomplishments for 2025, including updates on membership status, successfully conducted programs and activities, and the strategic directions set for the coming years.

This is a collaborative effort by the Local Council Executive Board, scout leaders, commissioners, DepEd partners, volunteers, and everyone involved who contributed to delivering quality performance throughout 2025.

An Executive Committee (EXECOM) meeting was held today, March 17, 2026, presided over by Atty. Nolito M. Quilang, with members of the EXECOM in attendance to discuss key institutional matters.

The meeting served as a platform to address ongoing initiatives, upcoming academic preparations, and institutional priorities, ensuring the continued development and effective operation of the College.

On March 16, 2026, the Circular Economy Inter-School Quiz Bowl, conducted by ECLIPSE, Inc., was held at the SPC Ormoc AVR.

Ormoc City is one of the LGU project beneficiaries of the European Union-Philippines Green Economy Partnership through the initiative. This project is led by DENR, co-lead by DILG and implemented by the United Nations Development Program for the strategic objectives

Atty. Nolito M. Quilang expressed his support through his message, emphasizing that the event goes beyond being a simple competition of knowledge. He highlighted that while it may appear as a contest of questions, answers, and scores, it is, in essence, an investment in awareness, a celebration of curiosity, and a reminder that caring for our planet must begin earlyโ€”in classrooms, homes, and communities.

He added that through initiatives such as the Circular Economy Quiz Bowl and the BIDA CE Program, meaningful steps are being taken toward promoting environmental responsibility. He concluded by expressing confidence that when young minds begin to care, question, and take action, the future of the planet is in capable hands.

Bernardo; OIC-ENRO Ms. Ingrid Macabare; Stakeholder and LGU Engagement Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme, Ms. Leah A. The Executive Committee Meeting was convened on February 23, 2026, at the CCO Conference Room to discuss key academic, administrative, and operational concerns of the institution. The meeting was presided over by Atty. NolitoQuilang, with members of the Executive Committee in attendance.

Several agenda items were deliberated, including faculty hiring needs, recruitment and application process for the two new courses, student-related concerns, and other institutional priorities. Many of the concerns raised during the meeting were recurring issues previously identified by each cluster, which were revisited to assess progress, clarify action points, and determine next steps.

The discussion emphasized the importance of coordination among offices and clusters to ensure the timely resolution of concerns and the continuous improvement of academic and support services of the institution.
