When the northern part of Cebu was hit by a 6.9 earthquake last October 5, 2025 some roads were either not passable or the traffic was so bad going in and out of Cebu city and relief goods had to be airlifted and patients that needed immediate care had to be flown.

Airgurus had to do its part both helping in the relief operations for the next couple of days and providing air ambulance service not only to the northern part of Cebu but as well as to nearby islands.

A 79 year old male patient in ICU was transferred from Universidad De Sta Isabel De Naga Hospital to St Luke's Medical Center BGC via air ambulance using Kingair B200 medevac aircraft. Patient was safely transported and endorsed to the ER department.

A Filipino sea man on board an oil tanler from China bound for Singapore had an accident and sustained a left arm fracture with lacerations. Vessel slightly diverted course so it will be within helicopter range. Immediate air ambulance transfer was requested by principal to Manila Doctors Hospital and mission was successfully carried out.

Cebu - Tacloban - Cebu

A 74 year old male patient who had a heart condition and was in ICU at a hospital in Tacloban needed immediate air ambulance transfer to Chong Hua hospital in Cebu. Good thing patient's local insurance covered the full cost of the transfer and was airlifted the same day we got the call.
