HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! 😊
Remember, don't toss the floss! Here are some reasons why:
✅ To Get Rid of Plaque - flossing helps remove food particles and plaque from the tight spaces between your teeth; this prevents the plaque from hardening and turning into tartar, which can be harder to remove with toothbrushing alone.
✅ To Reduce the Risk of Developing Cavities - with reduced plaque build-up, flossing also helps eliminate decay-causing bacteria in between your teeth.
✅ To Prevent Gum Disease - flossing helps clean debris below the gum line and hard-to-reach areas that are not easily accessed by the bristles of your toothbrush; this helps prevent gingivitis and periodontitis.
✅ To Prevent Bad Breath - food debris left trapped between your teeth will eventually decay and cause unpleasant breath; plaque build-up may also cause gum disease and tooth erosion that leads to cavities, which keep your breath from smelling fresh.
Remember to floss at least once a day to loosen trapped debris and plaque between your teeth and brush them away thoroughly. 🦷
