Bambang PWD Association, Inc. A society where Persons with Disabilities can be considered productive citizens.

is a Non-Stock, Non-Profit, SEC-Registered association of Persons with Disabilities aiming to uplift the wellbeing of PWDs and their Families/ Guardians.



(AKKAPP PWD Bambang) was founded on December 07, 20219, with the aim of uplifting the well-being of people with Disabilities and promoting awareness about the sector. The association conducted and facilitated various programs and events through private and government sponsorship and support. In 2017, the group was officially registered with the Security and Exchange Commission (Philippines) as Bambang PWD Association, Inc. as a Non-Stock, Non-Profit Organization.

VISION:

To create a society where Persons with Disabilities and their support group (families and guardians) are more empowered and included in all facets and strata of the society wherein they become more visible with lesser barriers and can participate and integrate in their community. The group also envisions itself as becoming a go-to and reliable source of information and data for those who aim to become partners in awareness and uplifting the well-being of the sector. Furthermore, the association envisions itself leading the sector in achieving much grander macrocosmic visions like but not limited to Incheon Strategy to ‘Make the Right Real’ for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific; AmBisyon Natin 2040; Sustainable Development Goals.

MISSION:
The mission of the group is as follows:
- To uplift the well-being of Persons with Disabilities in the community/ society
- To integrate persons with disabilities into the mainstream society
- To involve Persons with Disabilities in social activities and societal progress
- To reduce dependency of persons with disabilities by making them self-sufficient and self-reliant and by empowering their support system (Families and Guardians)
- To create reliable data to have more targeted and appropriate programs and approaches for PWDs

OBJECTIVE/S:
The activity was conceived to address key challenges faced by PWDs, primarily:
The lack of social acceptance for PWDs and their families.
The experience of being looked down upon or bullied.

To counter these issues, the event was designed with the following objectives:
To integrate Persons with Disabilities into mainstream society.
To promote awareness and understanding of PWDs within the Bambang Community.
To strengthen social protection for PWDs, aligning with the Incheon Strategy goals.
To boost the morale and self-confidence of PWDs in social interactions.
To establish and foster a culture of acceptance towards PWDs.
To improve the socialization skills of PWD members.

Isang malaking tagumpay ang nakamit ni “I’mPerfect” lead star Krystel Go, na hinirang na Best Actress sa 51st MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.

Sa kanyang emosyonal na mensahe, buong puso niyang pinasalamatan ang pagkakataong ibinigay sa kanila, isang pagkakataong nagbigay ng boses at liwanag sa kakayahan ng mga persons with Down syndrome at persons with disabilities. Ipinakita niya na kaya nilang umarte, mangarap, at magtagumpay sa mundo ng pelikula.

Higit sa lahat, inalay ni Krystel ang kanyang tagumpay sa Panginoon, na tumupad sa kanyang pangarap—at ng marami pang nangangarap na maging artista.
