Bloating again? Feeling tired all the time? It may be worth paying attention.

Ovarian cancer is often called a “silent” condition because early symptoms can feel subtle and easy to overlook. But when symptoms keep coming back, your body may be telling you something.

This World Ovarian Cancer Day, listen to your body, not just your routine. If something feels off, don’t ignore it. Speak with a doctor to get the clarity you deserve.

Your heart doesn’t always give clear warnings.

Blocked arteries can quietly increase your risk of heart attack, but timely treatment can help restore healthy blood flow before complications arise. ❤️

PTCA (angioplasty and stenting) is a minimally invasive procedure that helps open narrowed coronary arteries, relieve symptoms such as chest pain or breathlessness, and support better heart function without major surgery.

Cancer care is also a journey of understanding, support, and shared hope.

“Lessons for Life: Cancer Care Conversations” brought together specialists, patients, and communities in Singapore, while audiences in the Philippines joined through a special activation in partnership with AXA Philippines.

Organised by Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Parkway Cancer Centre, the event opened meaningful discussions on the cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to recovery, survivorship, and life beyond cancer.

By connecting expert insights with real experiences, the initiative created a space for patients, families, and communities to feel more informed, supported, and empowered.

Because the right conversations can help bring clarity, courage, and connection to every step of cancer care.

Is your lower back feeling stiffer than usual — or sending pain down your legs?

As we age, natural changes in the spine can gradually affect mobility, comfort, and daily activities. Recognising early symptoms and understanding what’s happening inside your spine can help you take the right steps before discomfort progresses.

If back pain or sciatica persists, don’t ignore it. Speak to a specialist for a proper assessment and personalised care plan.

𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁? These may seem minor, but they could be early signs of liver issues.

Liver disease often develops quietly with symptoms appearing only in the later stages. In many cases, routine blood tests can detect problems before noticeable signs appear.

At Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, our liver specialists provide advanced evaluation and treatment, including liver transplantation for suitable patients.

▶️ For World Liver Day, watch Dr Shridhar Iyer, Transplant Surgeon, explain the warning signs, risk factors, and how you can better protect your liver health.

When multiple heart arteries are severely blocked, restoring blood flow becomes critical.

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) is a surgical procedure used to treat severe coronary artery disease, including triple vessel disease, by creating new pathways for blood to flow around blocked arteries and supply the heart muscle.

With surgery led by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗞𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘀 and follow-up cardiac care by 𝗗𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗺 𝗧𝗮𝗶 𝗧𝗶𝗮𝗻, carefully planned bypass surgery provided a safe and durable solution for patients with complex heart conditions.

Speak with our cardiac specialists to understand the most appropriate treatment for your condition.

Brain aneurysms often go unnoticed, but a rupture can become a life-threatening emergency.

There are two main treatment approaches for a brain aneurysm: endovascular embolisation and microsurgical clipping, each used to secure the aneurysm and prevent rupture. Endovascular embolisation is a minimally invasive procedure that uses coils or adhesives to block blood flow to the aneurysm, while microsurgical clipping is an open surgery to seal it off directly.

If you experience sudden severe headache, nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Early treatment is of the utmost importance.

▶️ Watch Dr Vincent Ng, Neurosurgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, explain the warning signs of a ruptured brain aneurysm and how these treatment approaches are used to protect the brain.

Sleep problems might seem harmless — but sometimes they’re your body’s early warning signs.

While many associate Parkinson’s with tremors and movement difficulties, symptoms often begin quietly: with disrupted sleep, fatigue, or subtle changes that are easy to overlook.

This Parkinson’s Awareness Month, pay attention to what your body may be telling you. Еɑrlу dеtесtіоn сɑn mɑkе ɑ mеɑnіngful dіffеrеnсе іn mɑnɑgіng sуmрtоms and рrеsеrving quality of life.

If you or a loved one are experiencing persistent sleep issues alongside other symptoms, consider seeking medical advice for a proper evaluation.

Early signs of oral cancer can appear in the mouth—often before any pain is felt. That’s why self-checks and regular dental visits are so important. When detected early, treatment outcomes are far more favourable.

If something doesn’t feel right, a meeting with a specialist can help clarify your next steps.

This Oral Cancer Awareness Month, take a moment to check in on your oral health—early detection could make all the difference.
