Maaaring pag-usapan ang Conservative Kidney Management (CKM) kung ang pasyente ay:
• Advance Age
• May poor quality of life nakadepende sa pangangalanga ng ibang tao
• Ayaw mag-dialysis
• Sobrang kahinaan or frail
• May iba pang malubhang karamdaman gaya ng late stage na kanser, severe heart o liver failure
• May dementia or hirap makasunod sa treatment
• Nasuri ng doctor na maikli na lamang ang itatagal ng buhay
