Their lack of true emotional attachment makes it easy for them to appear to “bounce back” and find a new partner almost immediately. In reality, they’ve likely already begun scouting their next source of supply before the current relationship ends. This behaviour, known as overlap or relationship hopping, is a way for narcissists to avoid the discomfort of being alone and to maintain their constant need for attention and control.

This pattern of behaviour shows their inability to commit and love genuinely. For them, relationships are not about partnership or intimacy but about self-gratification and ego-boosting, leading to a cycle of shallow and short-lived connections.
