Word of the Week: Burnout 😩😖😣
“A form of exhaustion mentally, physically, and emotionally caused by prolonged stress”
In relation to my post the other day, the modern lifestlye is getting us burned out and we may not know it. The “hustle culture” exists and while it may be good sometimes for the advancement of our careers, it is taking a toll on our mental and physical health.
If you’ve been stressed for too long, feeling trapped, defeated, and helpless, having insomnia, being irritable, or having no appetite, you may be experiencing a burnout.
Thought I’d do this trend, too!
It’s been 3 years since the pandemic and lockdown! Crazy!
I took this video before doing a 7-day ab challenge. During this time, I was really restrictive. I stopped eating meat, sweets, and ate less carbs for almost 2 months!
It was this time that I had food allergies and kept getting headaches. It’s just the worst experience, but a learning one, too.
So here we are in 2023 🫶
📣 SEASON 2 EPISODE 1: ALL YOU HAVE IS YOURSELF
You guys, I’m so stoked to announce that the BETTER HABITS PODCAST is back for season 2! 🔆
After a month of rest, here is a new SEASON and EPISODE for ya’ll.
Episode 1 is one of my many lessons this month of March and it’s all about the TRUE DEFINITION of loving yourself and why it’s very important.
As human beings, we tend to depend on other people to make us feel safe, valid, and important. But think about this, when things go wrong, it’s human nature to choose and protect themselves first before anyone else.
If you are someone who constantly need others for saving and when things go wrong and they don’t choose you first, you’re gonna feel very disappointed and it’s gonna take a toll on your mental and emotional health ❌
Before going to others to seek comfort and validation, why don’t we love ourselves first? Work on our insecurities and be responsible for our own feelings and emotions.
Because at the end of the day, when you go to bed, lights off, all you have is yourself. And you need to be safe within your own bubble, because the one who can truly save you from all the bad things in the world, is yourself and no one else.

Word of the Week: HAPPINESS ☺️
Again, let’s dive deeper into what happiness means as it is an essential part of healthy lifestyle, specifically for your emotional health.
Happiness means an emotional state that is characterized by the feelings of joy and satisfaction.
You will get into this emotional state only when you do things that make you, basically, happy. Not just happy, but things that make you feel satisfied, content, and fulfilled. ♥️
Word of the week: DOPAMINE 🫶✨
Our favorite hormone ♥️
Dopamine is basically the happy hormone. The one that is responsible for making us feel good when we do things that make us FEEL GOOD.
Literally addicted and can’t get enough 🥲
This audio was supposed to be a compilation of videos when you’re traveling…
But @alxgrcia and I did a little twist 😂 since we aren’t traveling yet, here’s a compilation of the things we did this weekend at home!
Had a little mini self-care date 🫶
I was able to force Alex to do a hair treatment and put on nose strips and sheet masks! We also watched and finished an entire season of How to Get Away with Murder 😂
Definitely a weekend well spent!
Word of the Week: ✨ Physique ✨
Basically our Body Image. How we look. Our Physical appearance.
But remember, it is not an indicator of someone’s health.
Someone can be physically fit - with 6 pack abs or a plump booty - but can be stressed, restrictive, or is lacking sleep at the same time.
Last episode of season 1 of the Better Habits Podcast is now available on Spotify! ♥️✨🫶
A very special episode to me so I’m sharing my one big lesson in my Health and Wellness journey. It’s a lesson that I’m learning until now, even after so many years!
And it’s to ALWAYS SHOW UP 🫶
Listen to this podcast to know what always showing up really means, the effort you have to put in, and what you’ll gain from it aside from the results you’ve always wanted ☺️

Word of the Week: STRESS
We use the word STRESS a lot! But do we really know what it means?
Sometimes we say we’re stressed even if we aren’t, sometimes we say we’re not stressed, but in reality, we actually are.
There are also days when we can’t actually tell if we are stressed or not.
So before we claim and we deny, let’s define what stress is:
It’s TENSION or STRAIN you feel either PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, and PSYCHOLOGICALLY.
Now that we know what stress is, it’s also important to know that there is a good and bad kind of stress.
✨ Working out is good kind of stress physically.
✨ Traumatic incidents are bad psychological stress.
✨ Traveling alone is a good emotional stress.
Good stress is short-term and should motivate you or enhance your performance, while bad stress is the kind that gives you anxiety, wears you out, and decreases performance.
Hope this helps!
Word of the week: ✨ MEDITATE ✨
Sometimes we get intimated by the word MEDITATE.
It sounds too deep and spiritual.
But if you take the time to understand what meditate is, it’s pretty simple and anyone can do it. It also doesn’t have to be SPIRITUAL.
Meditate is basically practicing the mind to focus on something for a period of time.
It’s a practice to achieve mindfulness, better awareness, and emotionally calm and stable state ♥️✨
