Immunization is one of the most effective ways to protect individuals, especially children from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. Through vaccines, the body learns to recognize and fight harmful viruses and bacteria without causing illness. This prevents diseases such as measles, polio, pneumonia, and many others that once caused widespread sickness.

By receiving complete and timely vaccines, we not only safeguard our own health but also protect our loved ones and the entire community, including those who cannot be vaccinated. Immunization plays a vital role in keeping families healthy and ensuring a safer, stronger community.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month ๐Ÿซ

Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Early detection through appropriate screening significantly improves treatment outcomes and survival rates.

According to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), adults aged 50 to 80 years who have a 20 pack-year smoking history and currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years are recommended to undergo screening for lung cancer.

Prevention begins with smoking cessation and regular medical evaluation. For more information or to know if you are eligible for screening, please consult our Family Medicine Outpatient Department at Healthway FEU-NRMF Medical Center from Monday to Friday.
