What is the 5 importance of first aid?
The 5 Main Objectives Of First Aid Training. The aims of first aid include preserving life, preventing injury from getting worse, aiding recovery, relieving pain, and protecting the unconscious. The main objective is to save lives.

CPR helps maintain vital blood flow to the heart and brain and increases the amount of time that an electric shock from a defibrillator can be effective,” Four to six minutes after cardiac arrest, the brain begins to die if CPR is not provided, and the average response time of 911 is about 11 minutes.

Be one of us! Together we save a life!.

First Use of a Helicopter for Firefighting – June 26th, 1946

-The helicopter has proven to be a valuable tool in wildland fire operations and support for many years, transporting firefighters, moving cargo and equipment, dropping water and retardant, flying reconnaissance and observation missions, aerial ignition work, long lining, and simply providing eyes-in-the-sky fire information to the incident commander or burn boss. There are few fires where this aviation resource is not utilized in some capacity.

49 YEARS AGO TODAY - Our National Boy Scout Hero Oscar M. Alcaraz was conferred the Posthumous Presidential Merit Medal at the Malacanan Palace, Manila on 11 September 1970.

Also, an Executive Order was signed exhuming his remains at the apartment crypt of Manila North Cemetery and transferring it to the Libingan ng mga Bayanin in Taguig City with full military honor held on 31 October 1970. He was the first civilian to be buried in the cemetery for Filipino military personnel from privates to generals who served during World War II and it eventually became designated as the official place of burial for deceased Philippine presidents, national heroes, patriots, National Artists and National Scientists.

In his honor we founded and name after him our Rover Circle as SCOUT OSCAR M. ALCARAZ ROVER SCOUT CIRCLE 17 as registered to our Quezon City Council on 11 March 2014.

And since Rover Scouting is a community based we also created and registered our community scout SCOUT OSCAR M. ALCARAZ COMMUNITY SCOUT 425 on 18 February 2015 which aims to develop and train young men and young women of the Brarangay Paang Bundok community to be a Responsible, Self Reliant, God-Fearing and Service Oriented youth by instilling the values of Scouting as laid out by the Founder of Scout Movement himself Lord Baden Powell through the Scout Training and program offered by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

'58 years ago today - A United Arab Airlines (now EgyptAir) with 24 Scouts - official Boy Scouts of the Philippines delegation to the 11th World Scout Jamboree - on board crashed near Santa Cruz, India on their way to Greece and killed all of its passengers.

On 27 July 1988, then President Corazon C. Aquino declared July 28 of every year as BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES MEMORIAL DAY.

58TH SCOUT MEMORIAL DAY ⚜

Today, we remember the heroic life of the 24 Scout Heroes who perished on their way to the 11th World Scout Jamboree in Marathon, Greece. On this historic day, we not only remember the lives of the 24 Scout Heroes but also all the Scouts who gave their lives to answer the call of service to other people.

We continue to venerate the lives of these Scouts who unselfishly gave their lives to bring honor not only to their families but also to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. In our small little way, let us continue to pray for their bereaved families and loved ones who suffered a lot due to the tragedy.

We salute all Scout Heroes of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines! 🇵🇭
