💸 Magandang balita sa usaping utang ng bansa! Bahagyang bumaba ang kabuuang utang ng Pilipinas nitong Agosto matapos bayaran ng gobyerno ang pinakamalaking local bond ngayong taon na nagkakahalaga ng ₱516.34 bilyon. Dahil dito, umabot sa ₱17.47 trilyon ang utang mula sa dating ₱17.56 trilyon.

Mas mataas na rin ang bahagi ng domestic debt—mas ligtas at mas kapaki-pakinabang para sa ekonomiyang lokal. Isang hakbang patungo sa mas matatag na pinansyal na kinabukasan para sa bawat Pilipino 🇵🇭

PBBM Moves P225B from Flood Control to Health and Education

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the reallocation of around ₱225 billion in unused funds originally meant for flood control projects in the 2025 budget. Due to implementation delays and ongoing investigations, the government decided to shift the funds to more urgent priorities like health and education. President Marcos also said that no new budget for flood control will be proposed for 2026 until the current funds are fully accounted for and properly used.

Today marks the inauguration of Dr Avenilo L. Aventura, Jr as the newest Executive Director of the Philippine Heart Center. A cardiothoracic surgeon by profession, Dr Aventura held leadership positions in several hospitals before being appointed by President Ferdinand "B**gbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr. to lead the PHC. He follows in the footsteps of his father, Dr Avenilo P. Aventura, Sr, who was the PHC Executive Director from 1975-1986.
