when i purchased the NYC Tarot today, i didn’t have an idea how interesting its take was in every card. but as i read the guidebook and shuffled and did a sample reading, i was like, “oo nga, ano?”

tonight i pulled The Emperor. a masculine card, no doubt. i’ve always interpreted it as being stable, strong, knowing what’s best, and being a standup person all the time. but let me give you an excerpt: “It’s here to assure us that we don’t have to muscle to prove that we matter. The Emperor invites us to become “right sized” in whatever situations and consciously wield the force that is us.”

we don’t always have to know our next steps, what we want in life, or our game plan in life. if we can love people in our lives where they are, maybe we can do the same? love ourselves where we are. 🤍

i’ve been doing a lot of scary things lately. ones i never dreamed or saw myself doing. safe to say things are okay, even if there’s anxiety in between days.

and so, here’s to not knowing, here’s to fear, and here’s to conquering and breaking barriers. ✨

𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐛𝐲𝐞?

when someone leaves our lives, we’re immobilized for just a few minutes as their memories flash back before our eyes. the sad, happy, painful, and peaceful moments — and how those moments have been beautiful, are now just memories.

goodbyes are bittersweet. sometimes you’re too sad that you didn’t make the most out of the time you had together; sometimes you’re too angry that the moments have been fleeting. but when the grief turns into acceptance, all there would be is peace, and gratitude that no matter how things turned out, your moments have been great.

so whatever or whoever you say goodbye to after this year, make it beautiful, peaceful, and endearing. bid them farewell with the goodness within your heart, that their journey without you proceeds with all the greatness life has to offer.

goodbyes are painful; but they can be freeing — the best feeling yet.

Aia came home today. I thought she wasn’t gonna be here until the first or second week of December, but somehow she wanted to come home.

Meeting her has been the best thing about today. I’m forever grateful to .awakened of .ph for making my dream guardian come true. ✨🤍 She’s even prepared to attend my wedding!

The best part of Aia is that her presence certainly lightens up my room — where I’m stressed most of the time as I work from home. The energy isn’t as busy and hectic anymore. ✨

I felt called releasing this message to the universe. Our lives are often ruled by constant decision-making. It’s a daily thing — so don’t be afraid to do things your own way. If it’s a mistake, learn from it. And if it happens to be the best decision ever, then, wasn’t it worth the risk?

As said by these beautiful cards, “Now is the time to dive in. You’ll never find what you’re looking for if you don’t take the plunge.”

A little anecdote: I recently bought Rupi Kaur's newest workbook, Healing Through Words. And over the weekend, I have struggled writing on it because, well, childhood trauma.

And I realized — what’s causing my blockage is that I never deal with it, so I think the problem is not solvable.

Today’s pull, Page of Cups in reverse, reminded me that this self invalidation has to stop. It told me: “You are relevant. Your life is precious. Trust your heart in doing your thing and don’t let anyone say you’re ordinary.” We invalidate ourselves by depending on others’ perception of us, and that’s not how we should continue in life.

So, while pondering on this, I came up with CHILD - Care, prioritizing your own Happiness, practicing Intimacy with yourself, Living, Loving, and Letting yourself be free, and Daring to embrace your whole being — these are ways to finally live beyond expectations and trusting yourself more. It’s time to cut yourself some slack and actually find enjoyment in every waking day.

Forgive your shortcomings, embrace and learn from your imperfections, and reward your small wins. Don’t be your own limiting factor. The limit should not exist.

Promise me, you’ll be kinder to yourself, okay?

I have hope that whatever trauma that haunts our mental and emotional health would actually be dissolved by complete faith, love, and confidence we have for our inner selves.

it’s been so long since i last posted. i honestly had doubts on whether or not i should air my grievances on here, but hear me out:

maybe this needed to happen so that all of us would realize the consequences of choices—how to weigh what’s important versus our personal interests. The Tower needed to fall to be rebuilt again.

Long goes the night, dark as it is, but The Star will light our path. Even in the midst of uncomfortable bewilderment, the tiniest bit of light is still light.

Today, we grieve; tomorrow, we soldier on, with a clear goal.

However you feel is valid. But promise me: when the Tower moment comes, please don’t succumb to it? Stay hopeful & persevering.

Not everyone gets their first knack on their dream job/path. Sometimes we get really tired of following our dreams because it gets us nowhere. But just how long are we really trying?

Watching Twenty-Five Twenty-One, it reminded me of youth and how promising and bright the future looked like. Most of us envisioned where we’d be exactly how many years from now. Remember when you were so sure of what you want to be when you grow up?

It made Na Hee Do, the heroine of the series, very appealing and inspiring. Her dedication, hard work, and vision is very clear. She knows what she wants at such a young age, and she really does everything to make her dreams come true. The series still isn’t done, so I’m sure there will be more challenges, but she has proven every single time how she is bigger than any obstacle that attempts to disrupt her journey.

Let this be a reminder that like her, we can strive to be whoever we want to be. Don’t let the slightest sight of problems faze you, because it makes you resilient in your journey and makes the ride worth it. With commitment to your dreams as well as honing your expertise, your direction is clear and the willpower in you is stronger.

Not to mention – a lot of people are rooting for us. Isn’t our dreams worth seeing through for the people we love, who endlessly and unconditionally support us?

Trust me on this one. You’ve been through a lot. I can see a bright, successful, and prosperous future for you. For all of us. I am, they are, we are, rooting for you.

“𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝, 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡.”

To those of you who knew me in real life since we were kids, my lovelife has been reckless, crazy, and went back to one person, who turned out to be a twin flame. But sadly, it didn’t work out the way I hoped it would. And I resented that greatly.

Every time I get clients who would ask how to win back their love, or how to attract the right person, or even as specific as “Will he ever feel the same”, I always say this is not how tarot readings work. But I don’t blame them; in fact, I sympathize, because I was once naive and hoping for something hopeless.

I was once scared of change, because a person who you have known and loved for so long and losing them as a friend as well, could be very painful. But today’s pull made me reflect on the times my heart has been picked up & shattered—only to find out that in spite of all that, I am blessed to find love in the most unexpected place: my heartbreak.

This Valentine’s day is not special for me, because all days of my life, I’ve felt the love that the universe gave me. Painful at times, but hopeful, loving, and unconditional. I am thankful for that leap of faith, because it brought me to the man I am marrying.

To those in relationships, it won’t all be rainbows and unicorns; there will be storms and tides. But there will always be something to be grateful for.

To those singles, cursing this day jokingly or not, there IS a right person. And sometimes, before finding them, you need to fully love yourself, because it attracts the right person.

And I hope after this day, you won’t stop spreading love and kindness.
