๐ŸŽฅ โ€œTeka muna, tama ba?โ€
โœ‹Ever raised your hand to recite... then panicked and slowly put it back down? ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Yup. Weโ€™ve all been there โ€” racing thoughts, self-doubt, fear of being wrong or laughed at. This short film is for every student whoโ€™s ever second-guessed themselves because of social anxiety.

๐Ÿ’ญ But what if we paused and told ourselves: โ€œThis is just a thought, not the truthโ€? ๐Ÿค”

Watch how Sol and her inner monologue capture the real struggle, and learn a quick ACT-based tip on self-compassion that might just change how you recite next time.

Struggling with social anxiety? Youโ€™re definitely not alone.
It can feel like everyoneโ€™s watching, judging, or waiting for you to mess up โ€” but the truth is, most people are too busy worrying about themselves. Still, that doesnโ€™t make the anxiety any less real.

Thatโ€™s where mindfulness comes in โ€” simple techniques that bring you back to the present moment, helping you step out of the spiral of overthinking ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ญ

Here are two gentle but powerful tools you can try:

๐Ÿซ Power Breath (aka Box Breathing)
Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold again for 4 โ€” repeat 3โ€“5 times.
This activates your parasympathetic nervous system, calms your heartbeat, and lowers stress hormones. Itโ€™s like a pause button for your brain โธ๏ธ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Focus Your Senses
Ground yourself by naming:

5 things you can see
4 things you can hear
3 things you can feel
2 things you can smell
1 emotion you're feeling

This technique shifts your brain out of panic mode and into the present moment โ€” think of it as your mental reset switch ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒธ

Even when your mind feels chaotic, these tools can help create just enough space to breathe and reset. Progress takes time, and every small step matters. Be kind to yourself today โ€” and every day ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒฟโœจ

Social Anxiety Disorder is not just shyness โ€” itโ€™s a constant, exhausting state of hyper-awareness.
Imagine walking into a room and feeling every eye turn toward you ๐Ÿ‘€, real or imagined, dissecting your every move. The mind races with what-ifs:
โ€˜Did I say something wrong?โ€™
โ€˜Do they think Iโ€™m awkward?โ€™
โ€˜Why did I even come here?โ€™

This disorder is a battle between the deep desire to connect ๐Ÿค and the overwhelming fear of judgment or rejection โŒ. The face we show the world may seem calm or confident ๐Ÿ˜, but beneath that surface is a storm of overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional paralysis ๐ŸŒช๏ธ.

Even the background noise of a casual conversation becomes deafening with self-consciousness ๐Ÿ”Š. Itโ€™s not about avoiding people โ€” itโ€™s about fearing the invisible consequences of simply being around them.

Social Anxiety isnโ€™t always visible, but itโ€™s deeply felt. For those who live with it, even simple interactions can feel like walking a tightrope in front of a crowd ๐ŸŽญ.

Letโ€™s replace judgment with understanding, and stigma with support โค๏ธ.

โ€œPlease donโ€™t call meโ€ฆ please donโ€™t call meโ€ฆโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿซฃ
If youโ€™ve ever thought this during class, youโ€™re definitely not alone.

Social anxiety can seriously affect studentsโ€™ academic performance โ€” especially when it comes to recitations, presentations, group work, or even just asking a question in class or talking to a professor. ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ“š

It can feel exhausting, overwhelming, and sometimes like you just want to disappear. ๐Ÿ˜ž๐ŸŒ€

But the first step is awareness โ€” and weโ€™re here to help you understand it, cope with it, and know that youโ€™re not the only one. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’ฌ

Letโ€™s open the conversation. Letโ€™s normalize the struggle.
We're in this together.

Na-ooverthink ka ba lately? Breathe in, breathe out โ€” kaya mo 'yan!
Check out these 5 Rโ€™s na pwedeng makatulong to ease anxiety, based on the method by mindfulness educator Chris Frasz:

๐Ÿง  Recognize โ€“ Kilalanin ang thoughts and feelings mo, both good and bad.
๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Relax โ€“ Mag-pause. Connect your breath, mind, and body.
๐Ÿ” Review โ€“ Tanungin ang sarili: "Ano ang kaya kong i-control? Ano ang hindi?"
๐Ÿ’ญ Respond โ€“ Piliin ang mindful response, hindi impulsive reaction.
๐Ÿ”„ Return โ€“ Balik sa present moment with an open and curious mind.

Simple steps, pero sobrang powerful when done mindfully.
I-save mo โ€˜to and use it as a reminder whenever life feels too much.
