Dear Friends,
In May 2024, our friend, SOL QUINTO, was diagnosed with Stage IV esophageal cancer. As of this writing, sadly, this has metastasized to his supraclavicular lymph nodes. Between May-August, Sol has already gone through 5 cycles of chemotherapy and is scheduled for his 6th cycle on September 16. Between the 2nd & 3rd cycles and 4th & 5th cycles, he suffered quite adverse side effects that led to hospital confinements for close to 2 weeks. All these treatments, hospitalizations, and medications have been very heavy, financially. To give you an idea, just one (1) chemotherapy session can cost up to P300k. Assistance, in various ways, has been extended to him over the last 4 months, but treatment will not end anytime soon.
Sol is determined to fight this sickness with his family and doctors by his side. As his friends, we, too, are in this fight with him. This is why we have organized “Project S.O.L.--- Support with Offerings of Love”, a fundraising event to help alleviate the costs of Sol’s medical bills.
Please do join us on Saturday, September 14, 2:00 PM at Casa Luisa located in San Pedro, Laguna. It will be a simple gathering where friends and family of Sol and anyone who wishes to help can come together over an afternoon of sumptuous food and good music. If you are unable to be physically present, you are still more than welcome to make any contributions/ donations.
