In the Philippines (as in other countries) with a Physical Therapy Law, a Physio, Physiotherapist, PT or Physical Therapist duly registered with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has the sole right to practice Physio/ PT and to use the term.

❌No, your chiropractor/personal trainer/physician/massage therapist/internet video did not do physical therapy with you. Perhaps they gave you some exercises or did some soft tissue work, but that is NOT physical therapy.

✅Physical therapy is a profession and the culmination of a variety of examination, treatment, and education methods. Yes, exercise, soft tissue mobilization, etc can be a part of physical therapy, but they are merely a part of a larger system of evaluation and treatment.

Physical therapy can ONLY be performed by, or under the direct supervision of, a physical therapist. This is a legally protected term that no one else can use!

New clinic schedule in SFC, La Union starting Nov. 10, 2020 Tuesdays - Thursdays - Saturdays.
