π© What is a Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD)?
A TAD is a mini-screw or mini-implant, typically made of titanium.
It is temporarily placed into the bone of the mouth (usually in the gums between teeth or in the palate).
It serves as an anchor to apply forces to move teeth, often in directions that would be hard or impossible with traditional braces or aligners alone.
Grateful to have Doc Rica Agapito and Doc Mikaela Mangalindan share their expertise with our associate dentists today! π
