On April 25, 2026, the University of Antique Emergency Response Group (UA-ERG) took another significant step in strengthening our campus safety by conducting the Emergency Care Course.

​While most see the finished result of a rescue, these photos capture the "why" and the "how." They show our members diving deep into the fundamentals of emergency medical response—honing their skills in patient assessment, trauma care, and life-sustaining interventions. It wasn’t just about following protocols; it was about building the muscle memory and mental fortitude required to stay calm when every second counts.

We believe that being a "responder" is more than a title—it’s a responsibility we owe to the UA community. We train today so that we can be the steady hands you need tomorrow.

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 – 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 (𝗨𝗔-𝗘𝗥𝗚) officially conducted its 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 for the 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 of 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 2025–2026 on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 12, 2026, held at the 𝗖𝗧𝗘 𝗔𝗩𝗥, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 – 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀.

The activity marked an important step in ensuring the continuity of leadership within the organization and reaffirming UA-ERG’s commitment to service, volunteerism, and emergency preparedness in the university community. Through this process, members were able to take part in selecting the leaders who will help guide the organization’s initiatives and activities for the remainder of the academic year.

The election was conducted under the leadership of 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗟. 𝗣𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, as part of the organization’s efforts to continue its leadership and operations. The process was carried out with the guidance of the organization’s 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗷𝗶𝗺 𝗚. 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗮, 𝗥𝗡, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, 𝗠𝗔𝗘𝗗, whose advice and support helped facilitate the conduct of the election.

The organization also expresses its appreciation for the support of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗛. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗷𝗼, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, whose continued encouragement remains important to the organization and its members.

"There is nothing stronger than a volunteer’s heart." ❤️

For the UA Emergency Response Group (UA ERG), this is more than just a motto—it is the principle that guides every call to service.

Recently, our dedicated responders were deployed to provide medical standby and emergency assistance during the CCJE Reception Rites. As future law enforcers from the College of Criminal Justice Education underwent one of their most challenging traditions—a test of discipline, endurance, and character—UA ERG stood ready on the front lines to ensure their safety and well-being.

From monitoring vital signs and responding to exhaustion, to administering immediate first aid and facilitating emergency transport when necessary, our team remained vigilant throughout the activity. Every step, every challenge, and every moment was met with the assurance that trained volunteers were present to provide care and support.

Because in every mission we undertake, one truth remains clear: service, compassion, and readiness define the heart of a volunteer. ❤️🚑

The 𝐔𝐀 – 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 (𝐔𝐀-𝐄𝐑𝐆) proudly joined the World AIDS Day 2025 commemoration organized by the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 – 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 at the UA Main Campus. This annual observance stands as a powerful reminder of the continued global and local commitment to strengthening HIV and AIDS awareness, promoting education, and fostering a community built on compassion, understanding, and informed action.

Throughout the event, the UA-ERG actively participated in a series of meaningful activities including a vibrant parade, a creative and advocacy-driven poster-making contest, an insightful symposium led by health professionals, and free HIV testing offered to encourage early detection, responsible health practices, and destigmatized access to services. Each activity served as an essential platform for empowering students and staff with accurate knowledge and practical resources.

Carrying the theme “𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐃𝐚𝐲 2025: 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞.” this year’s celebration highlighted the importance of resilience, innovation, and collective responsibility in addressing the challenges surrounding HIV and AIDS. As always, the UA-ERG remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that champion health awareness, strengthen community engagement, and uplift the overall well-being of every KasUbAys.

At the back of the uniform is the iconic 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚, the universal symbol of emergency medical services. Each of its six sides represents a vital component of emergency response:

1. 𝘿𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – Identifying that an emergency exists.
2. 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 – Alerting trained responders and emergency systems.
3. 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚 – Dispatching qualified personnel to the scene.
4. 𝙊𝙣-𝙎𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 – Providing immediate, lifesaving treatment.
5. 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩 – Sustaining the patient’s condition while en route to a facility.

This uniform is more than attire - it is a testament to service, discipline, and the heartbeat of every responder who chooses to stand on the frontlines.
