Pag dating sa usapang tongue-tie, we make sure that we carefully evaluate, thoroughly guide, amd connect the family to skilled providers for adsitional care as needed.

Sharing this post from IATP: International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Professionals where we are fortunate to be part of… i love how they highlighted 4 points.

And i must say my favorite is function over form ❤️… Something I always emphasize durjng consults…

As World Breastfeeding Week wraps up, let’s focus on how providers can better support the whole nursing triad—mom, dad, and baby—when oral restrictions are in play. Here are four key strategies for clinical success:

1. Prioritize Quality Education
Stay current on both structure and function when learning to assess tongue ties. A visible frenulum alone doesn’t tell the whole story—feeding mechanics matter. For reliable, evidence-based training on diagnosis, referral, and aftercare, we recommend connecting with IATP. (Not all education in this space is created equal.)

2. Build a Collaborative Team
No single provider can manage tongue tie care alone. Outcomes are best when IBCLCs, pediatricians, SLPs, bodyworkers, and release providers work together. Know who in your area is trained—and willing—to collaborate.

3. Function Over Form
Restrictions can’t be diagnosed based on appearance alone. True clinical insight comes from watching the baby feed, observing tongue mobility, and listening to parent concerns. Form informs; function decides.

4. Don’t Forget Dad
Dads often feel sidelined in the feeding journey. Invite them into the conversation—explain how oral restrictions impact nursing and how they can support both baby and mom. Empowered dads make confident advocates.

ALAM NIYO BA???

Meron TYPE 3 (due to other causes kagaya ng genes at chemicals), TYPE 4 (Gestational Diabetes or Diabetes sa buntis), and ang pinakabago is TYPE 5 (due to Malnutrition). 🤓😲

FIRST 1000 DAYS (from pregnancy to 2 years). 😉🤰🤱🥰

This is the reason why as your Baby Dudu Docs: Child Health and Breastfeeding Care Specialists we do what we can to PROMOTE, PROTECT, and SUPPORT that CRUCIAL period in baby's life. Breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding saves lives and is the best foundation for health.

Resharing this again seeing a rise in cases not only limited to kids but to teenagers and adults to…

Handwashing, wearing of masks and isolation (if infected) remain an effective way to prevent its spread.

Ingat po 😊💙🩵🩷🎂

ANO ANG HFMD or HAND, FOOT, AND MOUTH DISEASE?
Nitong mga nakaraan araw, marami kaming nakikitang kids na may signs and symptoms of HFMD...

ANO ANG SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS NITO?
1. fever and flu-like symptoms (3-5 days)
2. mouth sores
3. rashes or butlig butlig sa kamay at paa

1. Importante at mabisang intervention ang HAND WASHING (atleast for 20 seconds). Frequent and proper handwashing or pag alcholize ng mga kamay is key.

3. Avoid touching eyes, nose, mouth. Ugaliing mag hand hygiene kung hahawak man before or after.

NGAYONG HOLIDAY SEASON TANDAAN, NOT SHARING YOUR SYMPTOMS IS CARING. 😉😊
Huwag mag atubiling kumonsulta sa inyong primary care provider. With proper hygiene, rest, and good nutrition we will all enjoy a wonderful holiday season.

Why We Do What We Do...

We are a husband and wife tandem who aspires to assists families by sharing our expertise as medical professionals, educators, turned breastfeeding counselors and lactation specialists. We know the struggles as we failed twice before we finally got it right and our experience inspired us to come in the aid of families in need of guidance, support, and assistance so others would not have to fail as we did.

We know that much is yet to be done and that many will still struggle and God-forbid give up... Our steadfast support we offer still for it takes just one mom and baby at a time and one family at a time to make a difference. We aspire to educate and share sound information about their childrens health and breastfeeding so that families get that much needed support and land on well-informed decisions. It is our goal to provide holistic and individualized care and support for this is our advocacy. This is our family’s ministry. BabyDuDuDocs, Kenneth C.
